    Years ago, Webster in front of Hedges was fantastic smallmouth fishing. I haven't seen anyone there since the goby infestation. I would be interested if anyone has tried it recently.

    I know that feeling! The worse part for me is that I was fishing solo and the fish was still on the lure. It was shaking so I couldn't let go of it with my other hand until it died. Then I was able to push the hook through, cut off the barb end and back it out. First time in 40 years that has happened.

    When my 10 year old probe stopped reading down temp and speed they repaired it and returned it at no charge. Needless to say I was extremely pleased with the customer service.

    Doesn't really surprise me. Anytime I've gone there it seems like I'm the only one. With that and our short boating season I'm surprised it stayed open this long. It was nice to have them there for those things needed asap.

    I’ve never tried Thermocell on the boat. This was recommended to me and definitely works for me. Unfortunately it’s pretty oily but better than wearing long pants. Also there’s no way it lasts for 8 hours. I usually have to re-apply every couple of hours. Also it says it’s unscented. There is definitely a scent but it’s not bad.

    I remember in the 80s when the ESLO derby had a tent set up at Charlotte Beach. The first prize boats were on display, The local news cameras were there along with a few small vendors. It was a big event for the local fishery. Now our only weigh station is open 10:00am until 3:00pm. Afternoon charters aren't even able to participate in Rochester. Different times for sure.

    I'm not very up on the newest charts for Humminbird. I'm lookin for something for bass fishing the fingerlakes with Helix 7 MSI G4N. I've been looking at Lakemaster and Navionics but there's so many different ones to choose from it gets confusing. I'm mostly interested in good bottom contouring and depth detail. Any helpi s appreciated.

    Is there any advantage to trolling deeper water using CHIRP, or should I stick to traditional sonar? I've read conflicting views and thought I could get opinions from people that have used both.

    Looking for the name of this Michigan Stinger. I can't find it on their site and can't remember the name.

    Is the Slimy Grimey good for the buildup on and outdrive too? I've tried many things over the years but haven't found anything that works very well. I usually use On-Off but it still leaves a lot of buildup.
