  5. This may help you with cable size> http://www.alternatorparts.com/wire_size_chart.htm and then look for something like this > http://www.amazon.com/2-gauge-20-Jumper ... B002TLWXWQ Heavy duty jumper cables are a easy way to run heavy wire in a nice neat bundle. Just cut off the clips and use proper connectors on each end.
  6. Glen wanted me to thank all you guys for the trust worthy weather reports. Based on the reports and recommendations for RR he decided to stay home and fish. He'll post a report on todays activities as soon as he filets his catch.

  8. Yes, ...they are the same blank. They are also kicking around the finger lakes under a couple of names the last 20 years. Carl Johnson, aka "old swede" had the jig for that spoon back in the `80's. By the time I met him in the early `90's he had closed up shop and sold all his stuff. He did keep 100's of blanks though and that's how I got onto them. Good stuff, ......just like needle fish .. .... 2 7/8" spoons seem to be a good all around spoon in the fingers especially if they can run good at 2.0 to 3.0. BTW,....do you know what the secret pattern is?
  9. Thanks Vic. I guess we all have a few of those blanks in our box. I just didn't know them as T-Spoons. A lot of the ones I picked up over the years were at the flea market type sportsmen shows. The most fish catching spoons I ever had were the ones called and made by " Old Swede". He sold his jigs when he closed up shop but the spoons kept showing. They are still kicking around under other names. Vary speed tolerant. That's probably why they worked so well. Pic of a couple I doctored up. .. blank look familiar? Sorry Sean, didn't mean to hijack your thread......you can share your pattern with us tho'
  10. Can anyone post a picture of a T-Spoon? Not sure what blank you are talking about. Thanks. Boat will be out in 5 weeks.
  11. Could a couple sheets of plywood between the boat & shed protect the boat until the shed can be removed? You'll probably want to do something like that anyway sooner or later during the removal process. Sorry for your delemma.
  12. Here is one option... This post was a few days back..> viewtopic.php?f=12&t=22119 http://www.jrmarineproducts.com/

  16. Tro.........I have a `02 Sea Ranger 19HT and went through all that hassle of trial & error with new linkage for the main engine, kickers/mounts of various types. We should probably do most of this over the phone seen as there is a lot to talk about because of the unique transom design of the Arima. PM me your phone # and we’ll talk over the weekend. This is my present setup with a Troll Master throttle control and this power bracket...> http://www.jrmarineproducts.com/ .........be prepared to spend some money.

  19. Great topic started here tbromund. Maybe we'll all learn something from this one. I have the Furuno FCV-620 and it will do the same thing from time to time. Not often, say a couple times a season. I think the lock on rigger balls or dense bait balls is probably more to do with the GAIN in the automatic mode than a messed up unit. If it happens on a bait ball with my unit no big deal. The unit will reset as soon as the boat is past the bait ball. If my unit locks on the rigger ball and doesn't reset in a minute or two I just raise that ball up till the unit resets and locks on the bottom again. Usually resets and locks on bottom before the ball is all the way up. Mine doesn't do it enough for me to even bother changing anything. I like the way it tracks and clearing the problem doesn't take much so I'll leave well enough alone. It will be interesting to hear what the manufactures have to say about that phenomena. There are a few of us interested in what is really going on it seams to be common with several different brand units so if any of you guys happen to get any feedback from the manufactures please report back with what they have to say about it. Thanks and Happy New Year!
  20. Maybe you can scab one together. A garden hose with small cuts in it, air compressor and a timer that will cycle it on & off. That's all the bubbler at T-Falls launch is. It keeps the water open from the boat ramp all the way to the bridge. They tie bricks to it to hold it down on the bottom.
