I am selling my Fish Trap Pro ice shelter. It is about 8 years old and has been used about a dozen times. It is in nice shape. There is a little tear in one spot (see pic). In addition to the basic shelter, I added the optional cover, a runner kit, and a tow hitch. $160.
PM me if you are interested. I live in Walworth.

Auger is taken.

I don't use climbers (too old, just use ladder stands) but I noticed the discussion earlier and saw the following on "Archery Talk". Don't know how well it works but thought it might help with the issues discussed.

A friend has the following for sale in Prattsburgh, NY. Contact him via this Craigslist post if interested. Thanks.

Little hard to see what you have there. Is that a rod tree with two fixed holders on it?
-
It can be very hard to remove a dipsy rod from that position with a big fish on. I would move them up the side a couple feet.

Fished from P'Ville this AM from 7-11:30. Lake was flat. Fished 75-110 FOW. Temp 64 on top, 50 down 30, 42 down 55. Landed 5 small kings from skippers to 6-7#. Lost one big one. Most fish came on 10 color with Moonshine Shelly Snack. Riggers down 55 with Seasick Waddler took some. Marked an occasional fish, no bait.

Les, please post your results and the lake conditions. I'm headed out of P'ville tomorrow and would like the info.

Just wanted to relate a good experience. I've been using Scotty downriggers for about 12 yrs. My current set are 6 yrs old. They are guaranteed (to the original buyer) for life. I registered them when I bought them. I have never had anything fail. Recently one of the counters bound and couldn't be freed up. I knew it would be covered but I feared I would need to send the downrigger to the factory. That would not be practical costwise since I could buy the part online for $25. I hoped they would agree to just sending the counter. I called their 800 number in Sidney, BS, Canada and explained my problem. The gentleman asked for my name, checked my registration on their computer and said.... "we'll put one in the mail to you today". I like to do business with people like that, and told them so.

yes, witness is required. rules are on our facebook site. I'll post them on here by Friday.
would have preferred it the other way. probably won't join.
-
Do you have to have a witness or can you fish solo?

Anyone have the info?

On my boat the cannonballs go vertically.

I have three of the Cabelas inflatables which I love. The only problem I ever had was one really hot day I had one deploy while it was stowed in the hold of the boat. Other than that, I have used them in the rain with no issues.
One word of caution however, last year I was checked by the Coast Guard and was asked to produce an extra cartridge for each of the jackets. When I told the Coastie I didn't have any, he responded by telling me I would be out of compliance if one were to deploy and I couldn't recharge it while out on the water. Luckily I had regular jackets on board which met the requirements and I didn't get written up.
I was able to get mine on sale for $119.00each when they went on sale.
I also had one deploy in a hot cabin.
