  1. I think that is what had happened... I took the impeller completely out last night and found one tab/fin ripped in half but still attached bairly...and one half ripped...it was new last year and greased it when I installed it ...is it normal for a aftermarket impeller to only last a year? And the housing was new also....

It shouldn’t be, but I have not had good luck with them.

  2. Cant go wrong with a standard horizon unit. Get one with built in GPS. Inside the box are directions on how to register the unit with NOAA and the coast guard with your boat information. If you ever run into a life threatening emergency you just hit the red panic button and it automatically broadcasts your boat information and location to the coast guard.

the units are nice and compact. Pair it with a good whip antenna and you’ll be in great shape. A vhf is standard safety equipment for big water fishing if you ask me. Regardless if you have a cellphone on you or not. And they aren’t really that expensive. Most of us probably spend more money on tackle every year than the cost of a good VHF setup.

  3. Picked up my hot Italian sausage links from Swan's yesterday and vacuum sealed it all in small packages.  As a point of information, the finished product weight was approximately twice the weight of the venison I delivered to them.  I was a little surprised that it increased that much but they said they add a significant amount of pork (I think he said 50%) + other stuff.  He said adding that much pork makes it so the sausage is not dry.  It smells great in the raw state.  Have to cook some soon!

  4. I have 2 sets of batteries and each battery lasts about 5 hrs on high. That keeps my feet warm in a treestand at temps in the teens. Wish i had them years ago. I where 1 pair of wicking socks now and a pair of rocky pac boots and can stay out sun up to sun down

When you change batteries, do you have to take your boots off?

  6. I'm considering building a simple cabin on my hunting land near Naples/Italy, NY.  Looking for Amish or Mennonite builders to do it (or other good suggestions).  Anyone have any references?  PM me if you wish,

    Thanks, Dick

I bought one of these a few months ago but it won't work for my carrier.  It's new and never used. The seller refunded my purchase price, less shipping both ways, and told me to keep it.  So if someone wants it for $25.00, it's theirs.  BE SURE TO SEE THE HITCH PIN DIMENSION REQUIREMENTS AND MEASURE YOUR MATING PART.  PM me with your contact info if interested.  Pick up only, will be in Walworth.
