  1. Hey Vince, I am probably just adding fuel to this potential fire . I choose 5.7 EFI over others. I had two 5.0 carburated that needed to be replaced or rebuilt. I gained 90 horsepower per side by going up an engine size and to EFI I troll at .7 to .9 gallons per hour that is much better than my old 5.0 carburated that were 1989s. I also went down two inches in prop size. One of the reasons I chose this engine was my 2002 truck that had a 5.7 EFI. I put 150,000 mile's on it and did nothing to the engine, with that kind of performance I can't complain. I have 50,00 miles on the current truck and haven't done anything to it. I'm old school an would have to admit that either it runs or it doesn't, and I couldn't fix it if I had too. That's why I have two engines!! In talking with Tom Burke he has 8.1 and no problems and that boat flies for a 38. IMHO EFI is the wave of the future. How many new cars are with out it? Dave

  8. The first year of the old derby every thing seemed to go fine. We were paid for our winning catches. Year two as I recall in the end of July beginning of August the derby organizers stopped paying. The derby was fun and it added some extra excitement to fishing. The only problem was for Andrea and others it was king fishing only. I hope that the new derby organizers follow thru and do what they say, what ever that is. Good Luck Dave and Andrea Dream Chasers
  9. Nice Buck Jerry. I have been wondering where you have been. Ray K told the story, good luck to your wife. Dave

  12. 33 lb 8oz salmon. Hit a siggs riggs mirage behind a chrome pro troll. 100 feet down over 150. near the salmon river. Hit about 5:30 in the afternoon the first day of the derby. Total fishing time about 30 minutes. Congrats to all who made the board and all who fished. Dave B
  13. Jerry talked so I guess I have to as well. Kevin (Fishchopper )and I went out scouting last Friday about 3:00 pm. We both had trips the next morning. Fished one copper, two riggers and a dipsy. Fished about 30 minutes, fish hit a rigger. Kevin was in the cabin so I had to reel the fish in. The rest is history. Fish hit a Sigg's Rigg's Mirage fly behind a Chrome Pro Troll , 20 feet off the ball. See Jerry it was a fly!! My boat too!! Dave B

  15. We fish hard and we play hard as it should be. Larry we had a fun year on tour and we should do the same next year. I'm very glad I had a w i d e angle lens for the camera as I needed it. Did the Village People come back for a second show? I like Ray K suggestion of "broke back charters" but we may have to get you off the boat for your own safety. Team Dream Chasers
  16. Was prefishing the Sodus pro/am on Friday and saw a guy doing the cow girl on the back of a boat. Thought that was a little strange. Then the Village People showed up at his dock and did YMCA. Went to the captains meeting that night and he was getting a lap dance from this fellow Jerry all I want to know is where you got the hat? I know your wife did not get it for you, she has to much taste. Thanks for the good time Dave and Andrea Team Dream Chasers
