  1. The boat is sold...
  2. Hans, Nice talking to you last night. We ended up doing 3 kings, 3#, 6#, 19# and a 8# laker. The 19# king was a blast. Had a big guy on my father's boat fighting it (I mean kicking his ass) Everything was 100ft. and below for us also. Fleas were bad but managable on the wires. Good fishing. John
  3. Grady Sailfish/Marlin, Pursuit Denali/Walkaround, Tiara Open/Coronet, something a little bigger and cushier for the wife & kids.
  4. I hope so....

  6. Oh yeah, as we were packing the new Border Patrol Boat with triple 300 HP Verado's did a loop around us at about 40 mph and sped back off to the river. Not sure if they saw us on radar or what?? John
  7. Rob, My brother had a 5 color core out 2 weeks ago. That lasted about 15 minutes before a king tangled it all up. This year had been a downrigger bite for us for some reason?? When I start fishing those pro am's that's when I'll get into copper. John
  8. (Your Name) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (fishing date here) Time on Water: (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Temp/Weather: (85°F and sunny, overcast, rain, snow) Wind Speed/Direction: (NW at 8 MPH) Waves: (1-2 Footers, Calm) Surface Temp: (72°F) Location: (fishing location) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) Fished with my brother and father tonight. Ended up with 6 bows, 1 small king and a decent laker. Marked some fish in 60 fow but on the bottom the water was 38 degrees. Trolled north and when we hit 225 fow the deep temp came up 3 degrees and we started hitting fish. One bow was around 9 lbs and the last one was 11.5#. Beautiful fish, lots of jumping. The skipper king did not trip the release and as I'm reeling him in I notice he has a few lines tangled. When I go to hoist him up on the boat he has a mag nk and and and a 28 nk in his mouth. Man no wonder why they grow so fast. We worked that break and that's the only place we hit fish. As the sun began to set we started marking fish but they were 120 feet plus deep. Great father's day night. Good fishing! John =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (0, 5 10, etc.) Total Boated: (0, 5, 10, etc.) Species Breakdown: (3 Kings, 2 Bows, 1 Brown, 5 Lake Trout) Hot Lure: (NK28, White Spindoctor with Green A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.1 mph) Down Speed: (1.8 mph) Boat Depth: (200 ft) Lure Depth: (80 ft) ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== (add pictures and any other details not captured above here)
  9. Nice pic Mark. It's always nice to see a Rochester Boy in the mag. John
  10. Scott, Was there a payout for 2nd? Or was it winner take all? John
  11. Anthony, Sorry I'm not text ready.... With the new phone coming next month when my plan expires I'll move into the new millenium and learn how to text. John.
  12. We were just east of you in the 18 ft. Whaler. We were 3 for 4 on kings, all spoons at 40-50 down over 90-110 fow. The first king around 13# tried his damnest to get off first going into the wire, then the core, then the other wire . I like it better when they take out 300 ft. of line and are less green around the boat. The other 2 fish were 8# and 4#. Not fast and furious but a nice night on the lake. Good fishing. John
  13. Yeah we started off the bay but we ended up closer to the river. John
  14. Hans, we were inside of you. We did one 13 lb king in 80 fow then a small bow in 105 fow. That was it for us. We should have moved a bit deeped but stuck in the 120 ft. range when 3 boats went by us with fish on . At least one nice king in the bunch. John
  15. I can only find one of them and I'm going to hold onto it for now. John.
  16. Macgyver, Did you launch at Braddock's? How's the water depth? Are the channel markers in? John.
  17. Jeremy, I was on Arneysmarina.com a little while ago and they have a few used outboards for sale. I don't know how the prices stack up for your needs. Good luck. John
  18. Got a late start but was able to find some fish in 8/10 fow off Russell. I think we did 5 browns and 1 rainbow, between 9am-12pm. Watch out for the rock in 7/8 fow just west of Russell, it's about 2 feet under water. It was great to get out. Good fishing. John.
  19. Richard, The $50 is for the planer boards only. I can only find one of the Cannon Elite clamp on reels. I had them clamped on my hardtop brace. I need your zip code to find out how much shipping would be. If I can find the other reel I can get you a price on them also. John.
  20. Does anyone have any names and possibly phone numbers for marinas on Sandy or Oak. Looking for either monthly or summer dock rental for a 22 ft. Hardtop boat. Thanks in advance. John
