  1. I need to replace my windows in my canvas. Anyone know of a good canvas man/woman. I think the windows are Strataglass currently. Local to Rochester would be great. Also looking to have the bolsters in the cockpit re-upolstered. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John
  2. Fishin Again, Did you come out of Braddocks? How's the channel? John
  3. Must have a 10,500# capacity or more. Must be able to handle a 30 ft. boat x 10.5ft. beam. Thanks, John
  4. Tom, Ordered some stuff on Thursday, came into Rochester on Friday. Looks like your still the fastest out there. Unless of course you have someone drive it to my house the same day. Thanks, John
  5. Ran from the river. I have to believe Braddock's Channel is at least 3 ft. deep with the way the Genny has been rising. I'm 1 1/2 ft. higher in my slip than I was a month ago. John
  6. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Ate & swam with the wife & kids off Rosie's last night. Convinced them all to fish for and hour. Did 8 bites in less than an hour. Largest was a 7# coho, the rest were small kings. Lost a nice one on the wire while packing up the rods at 8:30pm. The temp was way up in 150fow, 65 ft. on the probe going 2.2mph = 45 degrees. The sliders were the key last night, all but 2 fish hit the sliders. Green, Green, Green is the color of the year for me. I wish I could have convinced them earlier to fish instead of swim. Good Fishing, John ====================
  7. Nice Bow Nick. I'd take that over a king any day just for the acrobats!! John
  8. I should let my brother answer this but he came up with a rubber coated hook from Home Depot used to hang stuff on the wall and attach a 5-6 ft. piece of 1/4" line to it. Hook the fish under the gill plate but not the gill and lower it over the side. Resume trolling. As the fish revives he will swim upright. Give the line a jerk at that point and they'll usually swim away. It's worked for us for the past 2 years. John
  9. Rob, Did you notice that ugly guy in the first 2 pics. I could still smell him at work today..... John
  10. Hans, This was actually the 3rd fishing trip. The first one started at 1pm and ended at 3pm The other one we got beat up a liitle last Saturday am with a sick and complaining neighbor. Didn't like the 4-6 ft. waves we saw. The boat seemed to handle them pretty good though We're hoping to run it up to the Islands next weekend for the week with the family for a little R & R. My first real trip on the boat so we'll see how it all works out. Hope to see you out there this summer. John
  11. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Boatino ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):June 20 /Time on Water:Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: <2 Surface Temp: 64 Location:Rochester LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 10 Total Boated:7 Species Breakdown:Kings, Bows, cohos Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Nice day on the lake this morning with a good crew for Father's Day. Largest king was 18.6 & 17.3, decent coho around 12 and bow about 9 everything else was 5# or less. Most fish were caught between 130-200 fow, 65-110 down. Spin Dr white green dot and pro am fly took the two big guys. Those kings were hot today running both wires out to 500 ft. I took some camera phone pics so they're not that great. Nice talking with you Jammer. Happy Father's Day everyone. Good Fishing! John ====================
  12. Thanks Chris, When they took the picture at 11 am this morning everything east of Sandy was in the 40's and not blacked out. It looks like it updated over Rochester. That's good. Gonna actually try to fish this weekend.... John
  13. Hey I just checked the surface temp map and it looks like 40's from Braddock's to Oswego and 60's West of Point Breeze. Can anyone confirm this. It's not like there has been a lot of cloud cover to affect this... Let me know. Thanks, John
  14. I purchased a pair of 28" Amish Outfitters beefy bags and tested them this weekend. I connected the front line to the spring cleat and the rear line to the rod holder base. Every so often the bag would wander slightly under the boat. Is this ok? or should they always be running off the side of the boat. If so should the rear line be tighter? Please help. Thanks, John PS: pulled a brown on my first cast just past Iron. bay Sat morn.
  15. Thanks Michelle. John
  16. I just checked the Derby board and it looks like Vince from Thrillseeker also took a 32 lb. King today
  17. How about a description??
  18. Any pics of this spoon?? John
  19. Ok, I've had 2 Tundras. A 2005 Crew Cab 4.6l V-8, great truck, zero problems in 60k miles a little under powered by today's standards, about 15-17 mpg. In 2008 I got the Crewmax with the 5.4 v-8, huge truck inside, small bed, 16-18 mpg, towed a 22 ft. Grady to the islands at 10 mpg. I have the TRD package and wouldn't recommend it because it is definitely bumpier when there isn't a load in the back. I have about 46k miles currently and zero problems (I had the recall done). Made in Texas. PM me if you want any more info but that is about it. Nothing to worry about with the Toyota. John
  20. Might be stupid but do you really need 300 yds. of 50# Power Pro as backing? Can you go with less 500-600 ft. to put more copper line on a reel. Finally breaking down and trying it but I hate the idea of 3.25:1 gear ratio on the Penn 345 GTI. Anyone run the new Diawa Saltist reels for copper. I know they'll only hold 300-350 ft. of 45# copper with 300 yds of backing, but I like the 6.4:1 gear ratio better. Thanks, John
  21. I recently purchased new Big Jon's and there is no plug in the cable like Cannon's. It's only has a direct connect to the battery. Can anyone recommend a in-line plug so I can easily remove the riggers from the boat? It needs to be able to support 28 amps and 10 gage wire. Thanks, John
  22. Anyone know of a Certified Bottom removal & painting company? The boat is a Mcmillan marine and the person needs to be certified. Thanks, John
  23. Raider, Stay on this site for a few years and your gas consumption will be the least of your worries. I think my tackle purchases year in year out out weigh my gas purchases . Damn Dreamweaver and Attomik keep coming up with new Hot colors every year Buy the boat and worry about everything else later. Good Fishing!!!! John
