hit the local lake today, iced over 40 perch 9-13 inches kept some for the pan, one 18 1/2 " wally to boot .

Went to the Q to fish a little in search of a hawg eye. Fished sat am 8-12 with nothing but a few perch taken on a NK mag with 5 inch minnows. Got lunch, Fished 3- 7 pm with nothing. Hit it sunday am for 3 hrs before heading home. Not an eye caught, not by me , not by anyone within a few hundred yards of me. I didnt see one Wally caught. SLOW!!!!!! Season ends today up there. Had a great time , got alot of exersize. I did manage a big burbot today that i hoped was going to be an eye, but just as tasty. I guess it's kinda uncommon to catch them. This fish was 32inches long

Do you think the video was real? If so thats just amazing. I mean ive jumped out of trees on deer like that but never thought of a marlin .

Nobody has been able to fish much of the river due to the freeze up, there should be a ton of fish ready to take those jigs
