  1. Whats up Terry? Glad to know you are alive and well.
  2. Sandwick, a layout boat would be a super choice, just be careful. My bud has a mighty layout boat that we wanted to use but just too rough. Lots of doable depths from basically union springs north. North of union springs has a sandy flat thats about 10 feet deep most of the way. Even just offshore in the flight paths of the birds would be a super setup. Good luck and be safe

  4. Detective Lund SSS, The boy in the background is my sons buddy trying out my boys new SCOPED .22 on plastic bottles in the yard. Yes lots of redheads and also some goldeneye and broadbills and not sure what else offhand. Yes we had a big hunting party and two seperate blinds hunting the same dekes. I am aware of the two redheads and scaup per man as well as the possession limits also. Thats why we were plinking with a .22 and shooting pics during legal gunning hours. Thanks for the implication that we were shooting waterfowl in excess of our limits with a rifle If you look close I think the camp being built next door doesnt have a building permit posted.
  5. Rusty rat, and I thought late season duck hunters were nuts?
  6. Pete, My father is a big Syracuse fan and he has been to some dome games this year.
  7. Two days Grifter. I ignored the wind in your face rule years ago especially for divers. They were 25-50 yards off shore with a perfect NW blow which is perfect for our shore line diver setup
  8. Looks like the Pete, Frank and Jersey Jim are going to have to look for another body. lol. I will send greasefire your way. He wont care how bad you beat him up on board. LOL. Put that sucker on Red dock Two rods!!!!
  9. Ok Pete, I didnt want to let the cat out of the bag, but I posted some pics. Blockhead, nice drake Redhead.Good job!
  10. Lots of them on the lake boys! (Cayuga) Go get 'em! Lots of Broadbills and Goldeneyes too. Redheads in flight were taken by a good buddy and nationally known wildlife graphite artist Cole Johnson. Check out his site colejohnsonart.com DONT FORGET THE GUYS WHO LEFT BEFORE THE PHOTO AND THE GUY TAKING THE PHOTO!!!!
  11. Andy, I used to get killer bolgna sanwiches in the McDonough general store on the way to Balsam pond. Great place. Dying part of Americana sad to say! Been pickled in the legion and balsom inn a time or to also.
  12. Holy crap im laughing my butt off Ray. Just about lost my coffee on the happy spot part. Andy, keep those guys away from my property. I have no bulls to fend them off!
  13. Yikes, Musky and Ray within 10 miles of my house? Hide the women and children
  14. Andy, your getting Ray dangerously close to my turf. I wonderd why the deer were so spooky!
  15. LMAO RAY. I have to laugh at all your posts and your replies. You have to stop over to the red dock next year for a beer.
  16. Sweet. Been duckin on Tangier Island. Crazy place! Where do you launch from? Chrisfield?
  17. I currently drive a 2500 HD dodge with a 5.7 Hemi in it. It is my daily driver. I tow my boat 27' Searay Amberjack two hours to lake O in the spring and home in the fall. Truck handles the load excellent. I get about 5 mpg towing and maybe 12-14 mpg on highway when not towing. I haul an insane amount of firewood so that is another reason for the 3/4 ton truck for me. I am currently looking to buy a Ford F250 with the 7.3 diesel in it. Tough to find a used one with that engine. I have owned two dodge trucks and while I love the Hemi motor in my current truck, the truck has had pre-mature wear on drivetrain and front end. Good luck in your decision.
  18. Nice deer Ray. Love to have to settle for that deer. Been a rough season for us
  19. welcome to the site. Be sure you take precautionary measures on the ice. Be safe!
  20. Welcome to the site. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful except that SLOW TALKER Jersey Ba_ta_d AKA JERSEY JIM from DOUBLE JJ of the red dock. Jim showed up on the Red Dock at Wrights Landing this year in his hooded flannel shirt that smelled like a rotten salmon carcass in April and left in September wearing his carpenter/tool design boxer shorts. His boat was never seen leaving the dock this year. He is known at Wrights as a boat hopping tramp who will jump aboard anybodys boat who has lots of beer. (whether they are there or not) They had to add two additional barrels at the end of red dock for his empties. Mary from the booth said more empties were taken out of those barrels per day than the KAPPA house up town. Jim has since gotten nervous and started raising two baboons so he can harvest a liver when his liver shuts down (wont be long because it has to look like a minnow trap by now)
