thanks very much. I went to The New York State Department of Health (.gov) and it said things like don't eat walleye or northern pike larger than a certain size, as well as fresh water drum and other species that I'm virtually are not even in Canadice. I don't know what to make of that. Andre

I remember reading online years ago that NYS had advisories for lakers over a certain size in Candice Lake. I was curious if that was still the case but can only find advisories for certain counties and Ontario county is not one of them. Do any of you know if NYS has sampled Canadice fish in the last year or so, and if so, could you provide me a link to that data? many thanks, Andre

Hi all, I know many folks are not as concerned with scent control and focus on hunting the wind, but the wind swirls so much where i hunt that that really is not a great option for me. I can't believe how many hunting products - weather rubber boots, backpacks etc come with such STRONG chemical smells. I guess i'm kind of a wuss but my feet get cold sitting long hours in december stands, so i bought some 2000 gram thinsulate rubber boots from Cabelas - they REEK. I've had them hanging from tree branches for 8 weeks and they still smell so strongly. What do you all do to minimize such smells on your hunting boots, gear etc.? thanks! Andre
