  1. This is a Lake Ontario boat and has never seen salt water. It is a 1989 Sabre D/C (dual cabin=extra large cabin). Has a 5.7 liter (350 ci) Mercruiser Alpha One, 260 hp. This is 3rd season on canvas, top and sides, mooring cover, back drop for those cold spring days, and trailering cover all custom built for boat. I fish it maybe 25 times a year. Comes on a Shorelandr dual axle trailer with surge brakes, LED lights, and power winch. Electronics= Lowrance LCX 104 color fishfinder and GPS (this is the big screen model with dual frq transducers), Lowarance global map 2400 (second GPS), Raymarine scanning VHF radio along with the better antennae, JRC 10 mile radar, Fishawk 840 downspeed and temp, JVC stereo CD player with remote control, Scotty Black Box, remote control spotlight, and a Ray marine sportpilot autopilot. All safety equipment correctly updated and 9 life jackets. Has 3 Scotty #1116 pro pack downriggers. Dual batteries with selector switch. The cabin is large and roomy with a nice tackle table and an enclosed porta poti head. The boat was maintained by Action Marine and myself. Runs and fishes great. Asking 13K complete, -2K without electronics, -1K without downriggers. contact me at 413-896-9785
  2. You can only hold one place at a time. If you are on the board with a 10 th place king salmon and you catch and weigh a 15 lb steelhead and you see the steelhead would be in 2cnd place you then use that one (worth more money) and the 10 th place king goes away.
  3. No one knows about your secret weapon this year. Might as well make it 3 in a row.
  4. "I have to give props to some great people." I wouldn't give any away until you get yours fixed.
  5. Secret weapon. I'd tell ya but then I'd have to kill ya.
  6. Strange you should mention that. Those fish weighed 21 and 22 lbs even on the boat. We did fish for a few more hours after landing them thinking the cold water would keep them nicely. When we got to the scales they weighed 19-8 and 19-15. Now when we got the 23 lb fish it weighed 23 even on the boat, we made one more pass over the waypoint and then pulled lines and headed in. Wasted no time hoisting the fish on the scale and it weighed 22-10 but when he punched a hole in the gill plate the pointer gave a hair of a space between the slash mark and the pointer and reduced the size to 22-9, still a nice fish. Strange how quickly fish can loose weight once out of the water. We had 2 really spectacular shows from the large kings where they thought they were sailfish, laying on their sides on the surface with their heads up and walking across the water for 50-60 ft at a time and that was with 100+ ft of line still out there. All I can say is if Rod had to land one fish that was the one. JANZ
  7. Found these fishermen wandering around the campgrounds. Bunch of More Ons.
  8. I was waiting for you to start this thread. I can't wait to see them enforce this. They said they wouldn't know if you stopped on "soil" in Canada??? Can't believe the US and Canadian border patrol don't exchange info while watching all those cameras mounted all over the river and shoreline. These were the same laws that were in effect last year during the spring LOC and they didn't enforce them, now all of a sudden they are, I'm putting in a call to Obama and Hillary. My other thought is they want to put an import tax on your winning LOC fish. How many permits, licenses and registrations does one need to go fishing. Next they'll want the fish to register when they swim back and forth across the border.
  9. Every post is absolutely true. Not a day went by during the trolling season that I did not visit their web site for current reports and information. I'm sure Joe is fishing with the big time anglers now. All my best. JAN
  10. Stamp money going to stocking, sure why not, we'll just take the money we normally appropriate for it and put that into the general fund, thats how politics work.
  11. After fishing 9 days during the last week of the LOC in Mexico Bay I did not see the fish jumping and swirling in the surface out front of the Salmon river like I have every year for 15 years. I have to think that they're just real late this year. They will come. Then i think about the population explosion of the steelhead (caught more last year than in 10 years combined) and the bigger kings being reported but numbers down and wonder if something bad happened. Hopefully they are just late and we'll see runs of kings into November. Didn't catch a single coho this fall and always see quite a few of them come over the side. Usually the coho showing up coincides with the start of the major king run. We should have plenty of water for the river this year so lets just keep our fingers crossed and hope the mother load shows up. Not to mention fishing out at the Niagara Bar for the spring LOC was a bust for us it was the poorest fishing this year since I've been going out there.
  12. Anyone know for sure if the lighthouse marina on the Salmon River is a weigh station this fall LOC. I see it listed on the LOC site but heard different rumors to its actual operation. JAN
  13. Boats name is "More On" normally fish out of Mexico Pt state launch, stay in Altmar on the Salmon River. No problem fishin from Fairhaven Oswego salmon river and even sometimes henderson. Will be fishing from August 24 to Sept 3 for the LOC also fishing the Fairhaven Challenge on the 25th. Usually scan 5, 10, 68, 69, 72. Usually end taking 69 off the scan when the lunatics start up on it.
  14. Thanks Rich, he emailed me and told me to make the check out to him and mail it to him so I guess I'm all set. See you at the weigh in.
  15. Got the entry form but who do I make the check out to and I guess I send it to Werner? First time entering so just trying to figure it out as it doesn't specify on entry form or rules and flyer. JAN
  16. Lightning you've read to much into this. Wondering what your boat/team name was. Did you fish the event or on the committee? I was just looking for answers so I could put to rest the rumors I kept hearing over and over. It's almost like everyone keeps avoiding the question with general responses. I will say again those folks working on the committee from the start did an impossible job running the challenge. Hope to fish it again next year as the competition was top notch.
  17. I have spoken with 2 and they just looked at me with no explanation. Now your saying you don't want to discuss it here. Who and when will give an answer so I can tell the others that keep asking me if I know why the rules were changed. It was close to the point on the Friday before the tourney that I was going to ask to withdraw and get my money back but then a sponsor stepped forward and payed the entry and picnic fees along with some new equipment so I bit my lip and fished.
  18. Maybe you should put White in front of your name.
  19. No accusations were made, maybe you should adjust your reading glasses, I said rumor. Why then were all the rules of the tourney changed last minute. http://www.glangler.com/fishingreports.html Conferences Fishing Reports Lake Ontario Reports, News & Questions Topic #1342 Ok how about reading these as most of us did. Please explain why the tourney deviated from these rules. Hope you know you may be opening a big can of worms here. To me thats like putting my deposit on a new boat for a set price only to come and pick it up and have the seller tell me the price is $5,000. more.[/img]
  20. Just want to say that many of these problems could have been avoided "IF" you stayed with the origonal rules posted: Cut off for entries July 22, 2007 !! Somehow the committee was convinced to throw out these rules that were posted on the boards and wing it. That was your downfall for anyone who had any complaints. I was entered before that cutoff and was in disbeleif of all the changes that took place last minute. There is a rumor going around that a lot of pro boats from the pro am (some boycotted the Oswego pro am) had a lot to do with manipulating the LSRC tourney. I actually am starting to think this was the case myself after seeing first hand all the changes that took place up until the capts meeting that even I did not know about and thought it was 7:30pm until I ran into another angler at all Seasons tackle shop and they told me 6:30pm. Sorry but I guess someone had to say it. The origonal folks running the tourney did a great job, no, impossible job, after being convinced to change all the rules last minute. We'll see how many of these boats enter next years LSRC.
  21. Wow thats quite a lot of entries, will the prize payout be extended to more placements? Like pay to 10th instead of 5th, then maybe we'll have a slight chance to money.
  22. I got a phone call from him asking the same question. I thought it was Ok as the 4th of July is on a Friday and instead of me taking time off from work to pre fish this would be a freebie so I voted for it on that weekend.
  23. When you fill out the weight affidavit just put your boats name in there where it says charter boat name, thats what I do, I don't fill in charter capts name as I am not one, They will usually then place the name of the boat with your board listing. It has workied for me several times. Team "More On"
