  2. Tom was the "cornerstone" that we started the Marketplace on 9 years ago. He remains as such providing these once a year deals each year to attract a large number of attendees to help support the Fishery we all enjoy. The Marketplace was started as a way to fund our LOTSA Pen Project and even though it is now merged into a much larger show, it continues to do so as a portion of all admissions to the show on Sunday is donated back to the pens. Thanks Tom for helping us all of these years and always going "above and beyond" to support the Fishery. Joe Yaeger - LOTSA President
  3. The reason I am selling it is I need to get a lower profile trailer to fit the boat into my Garage. Otherwise the trailer handles the boat great and I wouldn't be getting rid of it.

  7. I just reviewed the DEC Lake Ontario Boat Survey for 2013 from 4/15 thru 7/31. The way I read it they project that we caught 28,027 Kings during this time frame which is 38% less than the same time in 2012, 50% less than 2011, 14% less than 2010 and 60% less than 2009. I would expect the full year numbers to be even worse given the poor King fishing we experienced at least on the Western End of Lake Ontario this year. I agree that the winds played a part BUT I believe the consistent poor quality of the Hatchery Kings is another big reason. The little guys from the Hatchery just aren't surviving to contribute to the Fishery like the wild fish are.
  8. Brand New Torpedo Speed & Temp antenna and lightly used this year Torpedo Speed & Temp 200' cable with clincher attached. $125. PM if interested. - SOLD
  9. This package consists of a like new Sub-Troll probe (less than 2 hours use) along with a used Moor antenna, Nylon coated downrigger cable and the connect cable that runs from antenna to the head. The antenna, downrigger cable and the connect cable have been used multiple years. $175 for the package. PM if interested.
  10. I used a boga grip on our Kings working them at the side of the boat back and forth until they are upright in the water and their tail is going. Upon release, just about every one will swim slowly away no matter how long the fight is or warm the water is. The key is to lift them out of the net with the grippers, then un hook them and get them back into the water at the side of the boat quickly without handling and thrashing around the bottom of the boat. The only exceptions are deep hooked in the gills bleeders which we will harvest. Ideally, the net stays in the water, boga them, unhook and revive without ever touching the boat floor. The only issue is with getting a weight and solved that this year by using a Baker Grip N weigh "Boga" with a 60 lb electronic scale. That way we get a real weight, pictures if we want and still get it back fast. With all of the effort we put into pen rearing and making sure the direct stocked Kings get in good, I hate to kill any King that with a small effort on my part can survive and continue to contribute to our fishery.
  11. Bought a TR1 so no longer need this unit for kicker steering. Excellent Condition. $160 firm. Pickup at LOTSA show and save shipping costs. - Sold .
  12. I added the TR1 Gold to my Grady last year which has an outdrive and a 9.9 Honda 4 stroke. Excellent autopilot. You'll love it. Couldn't be happier. I leave my outdrive down when using it however you can bring it up also. You have to make that decision prior to tuneing the autopilot. Have it in or out whatever you choose when you tune it so that it calibrates correctly.
  13. I haven't seen a difference in signal strength. I fished the new cable as deep as 140 feet with no issues.
  14. I used it for the full year in 2012 with the Torpedo Diver antenna using my Sub Troll on a Cannon rigger. It worked great all year with a strong consistent signal throughout. Maybe a little less blowback but no peeling rubber issues when you hit a branch etc. and then you start to loose signal as you go deeper. Best of all, it eliminated the interferance with my TR1 Auto Pilot and allowed the autopilot to function as it should. Torpedo Diver will have their product at the LOTSA show with 'show pricing' on their cable and antenna.
  15. Dave - Glad to hear of your extra cash cash for our show! Better bring an extra empty bag with you to fill as we've added a second room of tables for you to buy from!
  16. tackleitis - we are sold out however, you can use the existing Salmon Class sign up (you won't be prompted to pay) on our web site (www.lotsa.org) to get onto the "wait list". That is the only way you will be "considered" if any seats become available.
  17. Blood Run will have a table at the LOTSA show in February where they will show and sell their products at show pricing.
  18. Great Reports. It really helps us rec guys that just have a day to fish on the weekend. I have some friends coming up from PA for their first trip of the year this weekend and want to make sure they catch some fish. We're launching at Wilson. Can you give me a reasonable starting East West line to get them into some fish. Thanks.
  19. Thanks for all of your input. It helps out alot. One more question. Do any of you guys take your Kicker off for the winter. If yes, Do you have to disconnect the lines from you Kincker or did you set your lines up with quick disconnects. Any advise here would be appreciated. Thanks.
  20. Thanks for the responses. Couple of questions for you or others that have them. Did you do your own install and how difficult is it? Any advice here on things to look out for would be much appreciated. Do you guys do anything special with your batteries. I'm concerned with the TR1 always working and the rest of my electronics going that I could have an issue when I go to start the big motor? Thanks.
  21. Guys - looking to add an auto pilot to my 9.9 Honda Kicker this Spring. I have a Troll Master for speed control on it now but looking for an auto pilot to run my boat while trolling. Main motor is a Merc Crusier but use the Honda 100% of the time when trolling. Anyone willing to share their experience/knowledge with the TR1 to help me make the decision?
  22. No video recording has been alowed in the past and that won't change for this one. Take good notes and come prepared with your questions. Joe Yaeger
