It has been an offshore bite but in this game you have to consider not only where they are but where they are going. Consistent staging locations will be starting so you should always check the mid-waters -

To update the group on how things have progressed with the conversion, I continued to be plagued by poor performance at low RPM. If I dipped below 1,000 RPM while trolling or idling would cause the engine to stumble and shut off. The boat would start up and the cycle would repeat itself. My marine mechanic thought it sounded like a fuel starvation situation and thought replacing the original 1988 carb might do the trick. I thought the problem seemed more electrical but I agreed the carb had been overhauled three times so it was probably time for replacement. After the carb was replaced the engine definitely ran better with a noticeable cleaner burn with less exhaust smells. However, the lower RPM problem - engine shut off thing continued. After showing a video of the fluttering RPM gauge on my dash at idle, the mechanic did some research on the OMC points conversion and found that the timing needed to be advanced. After fixing the timing then adjusting the carb and shift position, the problem was solved. It was a pleasure to actually fish the way I like to fish on Saturday. Hopefully that is the end of the story, and hopefully someone finds this thread useful one day.

It’s a federal tax. It goes to Washington and they allocate the money to the states to make sure it goes to outdoor stuff. It is earmarked. As the money pools, it has to be used. This why you are seeing NYS buying large tracts of land recently. There have some great pieces that recently have been bought that are absolute gems for hunting. The DEC will be adding more in the near future. These purchases are listed on the DEC websites and have public announcements in newspapers. If you are paying attention, these tracts (previously private) are ripe with targets. -

Close your eyes and picture a world where we would have to lobby every year to have money budgeted for fish stocking, pheasant programs, DEC funding, lamprey spraying, creation of WMA’s or state game lands etc etc. It is game over if we allow non-hunting/fishing/conservation minded people to have control over the funding of these activities through the general fund. This is an anti-hunting/fishing bill. -
