  1. Mike, thanks for the info. Looks like my trip will be 10/22, 23, 24 and 25..for the last one of the year. Long run for me to that end but I may try it. I am just North of the college on the East fork. I think I will try the Bluff early, then troll up your way for a few hours as a general starting pattern. You been on the water next weekend, might see you. Keep in touch, your info is helpful! Dave
  2. Hello all...heading up next weekend for a few days before I pull the boat. Anyone fished lately? Hope to get out a few hours, depending on weather. Thanks, Dave
  3. Very nicely done........I had to leave Sunday AM...fished Sat morning , saw a ton of fish off the bluff, but only turned one. F/F Gr mostly. Then went to the thunderstick and thunderstick jr.....even had a few spoons out. Not a good day, Dave
  4. Yes, I have made the run down from Penn Yan a few times. Will try again one of the Sept mornings. I usually head to the Bluff and troll North towards you. Starting points vary, sometimes just South of Lakeside, others over by the Power Station or right off the point. All depends on currents, wind and weeds. (sounds like a country western song..."current, wind and weeds"..)
  5. Mike, have you had any luck down the Hammondsport end?
  6. Still have not pulled a LL from Keuka yet....grrrrrrrrrrr.
  7. I ran 20 FF with a 12 lbs leader, did well around the bluff area and North - both branches, staying away from the weed scum that was stirred up by the storms. 20 FF worked well..... Nice to hear the kids enjoyment across the board! Go get 'em!! Dave
  8. Heading out this weekend.....are they everywhere? Was up two weeks ago and they where bad by the Park. Appreciate any info...Dave
  9. Heading out this weekend.....are they everywhere? Was up two weeks ago and they where bad by the Park. Appreciate any info...Dave
  10. Hey Mike........I had the fleas as well Saturday morning early. not as bad as you!! Went to the #20 FF and it seemed to work....I hate using that stuff.. Fleas or Cotton Tree ?
  11. F/F is my #1 set up........LT's only though, been working the spoons for the rare other species in this lake....RB's and Browns early. Dave
  12. OK guys...I get the picture. Sounds like a matter of choice, both models will physically setup and work the same. Data, data, and more data....how did the fisherman of the past survive without..... Thanks agian....I am in the market! ..... Dave
  13. AP12R and AP14R - what are the major differences between the two? 18' Crestliner w/115......thinking I only need the 12. ANy thoughts? Thanks, Dave

  19. I have been looking at this one myself.....nothing more frastrating then dropping/pulling the lines in the wind by yourself.......please post often. Maybe a group purchase may come out of it. Always up for a discount on this top priced equipment. Dave
  20. Nice job, thanks....heading up this weekend. Mom understands... Dave
  21. Sounds great, I will not be able to get out until next weekend. Any water temp readings? I saw on the keuka lake web sight a nice increase in temp last week. Any smallies in your day? Dave
  22. Either of you out on Friday? I trolled all the way up from below Gibbons North, had a few lakers....blk/purple ....long leads, 55 and 75 feet down ..100 ft water. Dave
  23. Lakers again this Season I suppose....!!
  24. Here is what I find interesting, the DEC web site says they stocked thousands and thousands of LL's in 2008. I suppose they are just feeding the Lakers when they do so, so why bother? It would be nice to see a little better fish management on Keuka. I know it is hard, and I salute the folks that do it. But, from what I have seen and heard on this posting........the Lakers rule the Lake. If the fish control was managed as well as folks seem to manage the growth of the wineries, we would all have browns and Lakers in the box. Mike, I will have to look for you on the water. I am in Brandy Bay....Blue/Silver Crestliner w/rigger hanging out the back. Dave
