  1. My guess is probably a little of both. I order some stuff at the end of January. Some items were in stock and others had to be made. He did mention that he was waiting for about 300 pieces to come back from the anodizer. I understand how you feel. I think they simply have more business right now then they can handle.
  2. I actually spoke to Jeff earlier today and he was on the road to the Grand Rapids show. As mr580 said email might be best right now. This is the busiest time of time year for these guys its show season and everybody is rigging for the spring.

  9. Im not sure what you mean by "blades all hooked together" They are not in a tangled mess if thats what you mean. Each one is a gang of blades on a single wire line so in that sense they are hooked together. I always kept them bagged separately so as to avoid a tangled mess and kinks in the lines. Have to pass on there $45 offer, thank you though. Price is already very cheap especially with shipping.

  12. That Lake is the real deal, true world class Lakers, Pike, Walleye & Arctic Grayling. My wife and I fished Athabasca about 10 years ago out of "Lakers Unlimited" Lodge. Nearly 250 fish for the week. Largest Laker we caught was 34 pounds had a couple on that the guide estimated at 40+/- We landed apprx 30 fish over 20 pounds. The week before we were there they landed several 40+ & one at 52 pounds. Spent one day split between Pike & Grayling. Caught my first ever Grayling and PB pike. We fished primary 40-50' water and slow trolled/jigged with Husky Devle's. Rod in hand. Also used dodgers with the hootchie attached right to the tail end of the dodger, if you ran a leader of any length they pass on the hootchie and would hit the dodger. One day when it got little slow our guide pulled out some bondi baits and we caught fish on these too. All fish released except one day we had a shore lunch with a small one. All fish released boat side in the water using a cradle and never coming out of the water. With the exception of a couple larger ones for photos. Regarding spoon size. I have tried using the Husky Devles in the same method on Lake Ontario for Lakers on several occasions out of Oswego. In the spring when Brown trout fishing had slowed for the day. Never had a hit, put on the spinners and started catching again. So I think matching forage size certainly has something to do with it. May try again but with Husky Jr's or another spoon. Regardless its tough to beat Brian's rigs on Lake O
  13. Many of the West Coast boats come with a welded on transducer bracket. If it were a fiberglass boat Starboard is an excellent option. Its also great for all sorts of other boat projects, I used it for electronics mounts, tackle storage etc.
  14. On some of the Rapalas I pull the front hook and put a small split ring in its place. Keeps the weight close for tune.
  15. Makes sense. My new 15 Pro Kicker is a 2018 motor but a carb unit. The first runs of 18's were still carb motors. Learned about the EFI's coming out two days after taking delivery of my boat. Probably would have opted for the EFI if given the choice only for easier starting on those early spring mornings. The only draw back to my 9.9 was it could be a little cold blooded.
  16. Thats a great idea! My new boat has 15HP Merc Pro Kicker w/controls at the helm. Going to see how it adjusts with the throttle control before adding a remote. Have yet to run it. My old boat has a 9.9 Pro Kicker with a Pro Troll II and it works just fine.
