I am biding my time for late MZ as well. NZ ends this weekend so I can at least do some post season scouting here very soon. Last year I had my bow and gun buck tags filled by Veterans weekend. I have been following Wired To Hunt all fall. It is crazy how many times he saw that buck. Even after he spooked him that one time, the buck just went about his business.

I got lucky and took my biggest buck to date yesterday. A nice Northern Zone 9 point. I am extremely pleased. I had passed on a bunch of small bucks this season and was starting to wonder if I should just take one. Then with the perfect conditions yesterday I ducked out of work early. I was in my blind by 3:00 and this guy came in cruising at 3:30. It worked out perfect because my son got off the bus shortly after that and gave me a hand getting the deer out.

12 does and fawns all under 60 yards yesterday. Spread out through the day. No bucks. It was enjoyable,way better than I thought. Being out today is making me question my sanity though.
