  1. I had something similar on a couple of eyes from the SLR last year. They could be anchor worms.

My apologies. When people start talking about limiting ice fishing it gets my attention! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Mother nature has been doing a decent job of limiting ice fishing all by herself lately. I think if you want change then you need to lead by example. Educate people on the benefits of throwing back larger fish and simple peer pressure goes a long way. I am not saying cram your ideals down someones throat either. I am saying let it be known how you feel and let them make their own decisions. Similar to antler restrictions on deer in NY. Things are slowly changing all on their own through education and not regulation.
  7. Good deal. How do they taste compared to fresh water bass?
  8. I fished last night for the last couple of hours. 1 keeper eye and kept 9 perch jigging off the north shore. Tossed at least that many small eyes and small perch back. Guys are getting some eyes on shackelton shoals jigging bucktails and sonars. A lot of fish being caught on silver sonars at a wide range of depths from 15’ - 35’. 9. Nice bird. I love sneaking in on them with a belly crawl! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Nicely done. For years I threw the legs away. My last several birds I have done something similar in a crock pot. To be honest the legs and thighs are the best part of the bird. The same goes for deer shanks. Google Osso Bucco. You won’t be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. It happens all the time on Oneida. However, people abuse that rule and catch a limit by midnight, drop them off in the truck, catch another limit after midnight, go home with the fish, and then RETURN that next night and do it again! Double dipping. I am not a fan of the rule but I think it is meant for people that are from out of town.
  12. Beautiful walleye. You can thank the cool weather in April for that one, as well as the gobies. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Oh don't worry, those walleyes get plenty of attention from me through the season. I am starting to master the art of squeezing in quick trips when they matter! And I also get to pass on the addiction to my boys. Life is good! Congrats on the turkey and crappie Kevin.
  14. Sounds like a fun month. Good luck with the turkeys! My opening day of walleye consists of my oldest son's soccer game, followed by his tee ball game, followed by a bachelor party!
  15. Nice job! You picked a good weekend too. Nice weather and those browns were chewin’. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. Awesome video! I loved the fish release. I think a fair percentage of trout that are kept actually go to waste anyway. And who says that lakers aren’t fun to catch! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  17. Nice bunch of perch!
  18. That's exactly how I do them fishack. A light coating of sweet baby rays and onto the grill. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Well done Gambler! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Another year in the books. 2 does and 2 fawns in range tonight but after closing time. Saw deer every sit this season. No complaints. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Wow that is very interesting. It obviously didn't hit bone. It is crazy that the tip is still perfectly intact! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
