  1. Going to set up a 300' copper (32lb bloodrun) on a Daiwa Great Lakes 47LC. Any input on how much backing and braid or mono?
  2. Makes me feel a little better! Last night when I looked at the satellite imagery I know where I should have been. Few more miles further west.
  3. Fished from 430-8 with only one skippy and a small coho for our efforts. Fished a couple miles west from 70-160 and couldn't get anything going and marked very few fish as well. I must really suck based on the reports from today. No probe and there seemed to be a good current. Probe is getting fixed at Moor. Very frustrating but absolutely beautiful night.
  4. Very slow for us. Out a little west of harbor. Lots of boats, not many nets moving. Two coho one small king. Nothing like last weekend.
  5. Nice work. Out today. Very slow for us. Not Many nets moving.
  6. Thanks Tim. I called the marina this morning and told them we'd be up for the 10 am feeding. Made a day out of it. My son got a real kick out of it. Great activity for kids.
  7. Tim, according to the calendar all feeding times are available for tomorrow 5/3? How does this work? I think my 2 year old might really get a kick out of it.
  8. How does one go about seeing if tomorrow afternoon is available for pen feeding?
  9. Fished from 630 until 11. Took a look along the shoreline only to find gin clear water so after one rip and miss headed out deeper. Took the first laker in 60 fow and had a steady pick the rest of the morning. Best action was 80-110. Lost count of lakers, 2 coho, and went 3/4 on kings. King were 12,15,and 18 pounds. Lost one when the o ring and hook came off, pretty frustrating. It was another fish in the 18-20 class. Took two king shots on 6 color with DW SS bloody melon, one on 70 rigger free slider glow monkey puke, one on 65 rigger DW SSW. I'll try to get a pic up later.
  10. 2 Okuma Classic CL 300L, reels are used but in good working order as of last season, no line on the reels. Could use for leadcore, riggers, or spares. 1 Okuma Diezel 300, line guide sticks to one side, reel may need cleaning/lubricating, or may need new pawl or worm. Might also use for parts for the classics. $45 for all 3 reels shipped Send a PM if interested and I can send pics to your phone.
  11. How much wire will fit on a Daiwa Great Lakes 47LC? Will 1000' fill it or will I need backing?
  12. Swung by Moor yesterday. Cable running from head unit to antenna was shot. Temp on probe is not functioning either so may need a new probe. Said they may be able to fix the temp unless it's the sensor itself.
  13. 6-13'. Great conditions. Really no bait in on the beach yet. Cleaned a few, all empty stomachs except for one with a few gobies.
  14. Quite a mixed bag today. Seven or eight small Coho, five rainbows, three browns, two shaker Kings, and two smallmouth bass. Can't seem to get a good brown bite going. Had a great color today. Best temp we found was 45°. Still pretty nippy out there. But a beautiful morning in nonetheless.
  15. Well I think I'll swing by Moor this week. Today nothing at all. Temp flashed a couple times but not accurately. Tried the wet rag. Jiggling things around. Nothing. Had power. Must be somewhere in the antenna or probe itself. Don't really need it for the shoreline but will need it soon enough. As for the fishing today more bows than browns. Lots of small coho as well.
  16. Worth having one? Probably a stupid question. I'm pretty green to lake o. Fish the shoreline in spring and then usually late July/August once the freezer fills up with eyes. Usually fish solo in my small boat but sometimes have a partner. Try to keep it simple. Just hesitating on making the investment. How does wire fare against the fleas compared to powerpro?
  17. Was thinking of Picking a couple of these up. Mostly for running boards and leadcore. Anybody run these? Hows the action of them? Are the 7'6" ML similar to the Heartlands 7'6" ML?
  18. With running a probe for a Sub Troll on a manual downrigger, what are your thoughts on weight to minimize blowback? I know it's going to be a workout but will 12 pounds be sufficient?
