  1. so we run 30 pound big game with 20pound p-line florocarbon leader about 10-15' long. We use A #6 Spro power swivel which will go through your eyes no problem and is rated at 80#. This works great and if you do get hit by something big you don't have to worry about breaking off; Leaarned this the hard way in a tournament . Becareful of the boulders!!!!!
  2. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 33 Total Boated:29 Species Breakdown:Brown, 1 bow Hot Lure: chartreuse sticks Trolling Speed: 1.9-2.6 Down Speed: Boat Depth:6-20 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Invited Russ and Melisa from Honey Hole Charters out today for some february brown fishing. Just out side the chute Russ thought he saw a log in the water but it turned out to be a large brown floating just under the surface it was alive but didn't look to healthy. We set up just in front of the trailer park and headed west. Things started out slow, not getting our first hit till well after maxwell. When we did find them it was game on. We had doubles and triples today and possibly more. Four fish were over ten pounds. Russ caught one that was 30"+. We caught our first bow of the year; however, it was deformed. We kept 4 and released the rest. We saw two other boats out today both were open, i surely appreciated my canopy watching them in the wind out there. Here are some pics of our day.
  3. Nice job guys. Glad you got your wallet back Corey. Heaaded up to Sodus on thursday, looks like it should be a good day. Will report after i get back.

Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ================= Sunday am Travis and I headed to Sodus for some more browns. Although the weather was less than favorable, we still managed 10 for 13. The wind was raw and the lake was 2'-4', however it was choppy, not rollers. Fish seemed to be more concentrated than earlier in the week and doing a bunch of turns wasn't gonna happen. The trailer park to maxwell was where the fish were, earlier in the week we caught them from the trailer park all the way past afro. Yozuri and challengers still did the damage. We did get one on a three color lead pulling a dw ss greasy chicken. Fish were 2'-6'. Although not a banner day we both had fun and caught some nice fish. Can't wait to put the winter ride away and dip the big boat. Hope to see some of you guys out there later this week.
  5. Nice report, Yozuri and challengers were hot for us out there on wed last week. I am headed up in a few minutes. I can post when I get back.
  6. Yankee, Not the bottom, I handed the rod to my buddy and I know the difference. Could have been a king; that would have been cool for sure.
  7. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== After the report of ice yesterday I called Dawn at Warrens 6am and she thought it was fishable so two buddies and I headed to Sodus this morning from the fingers. Got to the coast guard station at about 7:30, ran in to shameless checking things out for us all. set up heading west one foot waves from nw. Clipped the 3rd rod on and 1st fish ripped it wright off. We fished all the way past Afro then turned around. Waves were 3'-4' at this time but still plenty fishable, gotta love the lake-O rollers. Temps were 32-33, cold. best depth was 13'. When we finished at 1:30 we were 17 for 20. four fish were in the upper 8 to 9 lb range; the rest were 3-6lbs. T oward the end we had a large/fast fish rip one of the board and peel line for about five minutes till it came off. Probably an Atlantic or Bow.
  8. nice job Corey! Going up there this week. Did you launch at Warrens?
  9. Irish, who do you work for? I do tree service in the finger lakes. What training do you have? Need a job? We fish alot as well. -William
  10. not only do electronics keep you from loosing gear and able to locate fish, people who go out like to see them on the boat! It can be like having tv on board. Its always great to wach fish streak through the graph and then have a rod fire.
  11. Great job out their. We saw you out there sat., we caught some nice fish ourselves.

  15. fished last sunday and went 12 for 13. fished from 200fow to 550 fow doing north south troll. 2 nice coho, 2 steelies, 8 immature kings 5-8 lb range. mostly a flasher fly bite for us
  16. awesome trip, its great to break records on your boat. Our 350 copper was queit this last week as well and it usually does alot of damage don,t know why.
  17. Thanks to all that were crossing their fingers for us. I never thought the fish was going to hold up, but it did. What an experience! Over the years I have heard about how other ports on lake O are so much better than Sodus; I fished out of Sodus atleast once a week all season usually two or three times and the fishing there was awesome this season. Thanks to all who have shared information with us over the years it has been appreciated. The set up that took that fish was hot for the entire six days we fished at the end of the tournament. It was a white and green spin doctor with crinkle glow on one side and chrome on the other side, it was pulling a Big Weenie Proctologist fly. This set up would take about 75% of our fish every day. So thank you to both Spin Doctor and Big Weenie.
  18. Thanks guys. We are trying to beat it too. Fishing everyday till monday. [ Post made via Android ]
