I have the wire remote velcro to my dash and it reaches to the back of the boat with no problem. I was afraid that i would lose the wireless remote over board when things got hot and heavy. I use my boat every weekend and the oil has to be top off at leased once a season. Jersey Jim

I have mine set up the same way Brian does no problem keeping the battery charge. All my electronics,riggers,and in the spring Run my live well. My honda has a 12 amp alternator. Jersey Jim

I have the tr-1 I love it never had a problem with it yet ,been using it for about 5 years now. I have a 25 footer with a 15 HP honda, I've fished in 5 footers with it and stays pretty much on track. Once you learn how to fine toon it you will be golden. A bit pricey but well worth the money. You will want to get extra oil with it because you will have to top it off every now and then. Been using it for years and i love it . the only thing is you have to have a good barrel swivel between your main line and leader or else you will get line twist. Jersey Jim
