  1. i've been down last 2 nights, the shore bite is really good right now with jigs and rapalas, I'll have to try the slip rig, grew up doing it for Finger lake Salmon and lakers, alot of fun! Great reports, keep em flowing! Have a good one!
  2. Great reports and pic's guys, love reading all you vetran's posts on eyes! I'm a Oneida nut, by no means a vetran yet! Learning every day! Once again great reports on the quinte! Hope you guys have a great season up there!
  3. Start one up, I'll post on it man!!
  4. Here's some nice ones me and some friends got last November at our annual Steelcage Match on Oneida lake! I can't wait for this year's!!!!
  5. Oneida Lake!!! I'm just practicing posting pic's, just learning!
  6. That is really Awesome! That rock bass is HUGE!!!
  7. Your one tough dude, pretty rough and cold looking out there!!!
  8. Fished 2 hours, got 6 keepers between 17-21 inches, tourney doesn't seem to be bothering the walleye bite! Fished 6:30-8:30pm!
  9. I snuck down there today and fished a dropp off, I got 4 smallies and my buddy got 2 in 1 hour! then went walleye fishing! those bass guys didn't seem to have effected this area too much. this drop usually only holds bout that many fish, then we move to another one! So maybe they just beat up the shoreline and the popular shoals like Dakin or something! we were in 16 fow near 30 fow! GOOD LUCK!
  10. If this is your first time to Oneida, you couldn't have picked a worse weekend. THE MONSTER BASS MASTERS ELITE tournament with over 105 boats, plus fans and media boats have been man handling the lake ALL WEEK, especially the west end where the largies live!! When I stopped fishing last week, the big smallies had fallen out of shallow water and suspended under perch fry in 20-30 fow 6-12 down. If you have a good fish finder, pay attentin to sharp drops near 16fow! There was still some 12-14 inch fish in the weeds, but most of the slobs are in dropshot or crankbait water now! Look for splashing and cast to it around drops! With good weather this weekend it will be tough with jet ski's and people like me who took the week off because of this tourney! I'll be walleye fishing after dark, but might look for those slobs myself last 3 hours of light! GOOD LUCK!
  11. Great to hear FISH HUNTER! Had some guys at my Lodge that were up from PA out just south of you, that did pretty good on kings, 1 real big one!
  12. Big time deep bass action feeding on bait. Was looking for eyes and pig smallies suspended smashing our jigs on the drop!
  13. I DON"T TROLL! Put out the sock and drift, sometimes I jig deep, but mostly jig up weed walleye as I drift! today it was weird was looking for eyes in 14 fow and getting smallies in 20+ fow! Guys deep jigging bucktails today kicked my butt! Only 1 weed eye! Lots of accidental bass! A close friend of mine who draggs worms has been doing good deep last couple of days! GOOD LUCK MAN!
  14. Went deeper and found the smallies, most guys were doing better than the Pre fishers for the tourney!
  15. I thought most of us were born with commen sence! Just another reason to write tickets!
  16. Went to Oneida on a crowded weekend Saturday and caught walleye as shallow as 14 feet to as deep as 38 feet. ended up with 13 shorts and 5 keepers for 4 hours fishing. Caught plenty of smallmouth as well! Lots of boats getting fish all over!
  17. Snuck out for afew hours, got 4 keeper eyes and 4 smallies, pretty slow considering we had a 3 day blow!
  18. Last year alot of kills from viruses, I witnessed them washing up on shore! Also could have been big winter kills after last years hard winter. There was quite a winter kill at Sandy pond I seen while crappie fishing! Gobies are a big problem though! The lake has always gone through boom and bust cycles, but this seems different from what I'm hereing!
  19. Slow Saturday for me with flat conditions and monster boat traffic, but a great Sunday evening. big boys showed up tonight! 15 eyes, kept 6, all over 18 inches, 4 over 20 and 1 23 incher! No accidental bass, I think there going into a seasonal shift!
  20. We have been fishing on some of the more over looked humps and shoals! When theres not much boat traffic, jump on some of more popular shoals like Dakin and the Shak! The depths have been 14-18 feet of water! Jigging plastics and casting deep diving cranks! Until I get a newer server/computer no pic's yet, plus left my $1200 Nikon out in the rain and smoked it this winter! Still new to computers! GOOD LUCK THIS WEEKEND & ON YOUR TRIP IN AUGUST GUYS! Did pretty good tonight with 5 keepers and 3 shorts and 16 smallies between the 3 of us! It was flat as heck!
  21. Last 4 evenings on Oneida continue to be good( slower yesterday during that low pressure!) Me and my buddy Got 41 smallmouth and 4 keeper eyes this evening! Some 19 inch smallies and a 22 inch eye! Suprisingly, nobody bass fishing that I could see! Hey AKITAONE, all the eyes came well after dark!
  22. Glad you had fun out there! I heard they have been doing well up there!
