  1. Blood Run's "Sea Flee" flea line is a great line choice for battling fleas. It is a 30# mono with a silicone coating. It also is round in shape for those of you who could never stand the oval shape of cortland fleaflicker line.

I bought some "sea flee" this past weekend to respool. Cortland FF does work, but I hate the oval shape and color   I only wish they made the "sea flee" in larger spools.

  2. Kind of know how you feel.. but I've had the past six months off due to layoffs. Almost got used to not working and my old employer called and asked me to return. I tried to talk them into my starting around the end of Sept... but I go back tomorrow. That's a big Rrrrrr! Oh Well.. paychecks are a good thing. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Yes, a paycheck let's you buy your gas and toys for the boat!

That's why I remove the cannonball from the downrigger before getting on plane. Lol.

  4. There is a real nice Penn Yan 255 Intruder Hardtop for sale at Arnie's Marina on Sodus Bay for anyone interested. It's a great fishing model and sets up nice. I know because I have a slightly newer version of the same boat! Lol. I happened to see the ad on their website today.

  5. Check out : www.pennyanboats.com and www.walleye.com for used boats

Here's a picture of my 255 Penn Yan Intruder, I think there's one listed on www.boattrader.com

Very nice mudflat. I just bought the same model about a month ago and just finished getting it outfitted. 5.7l EFI with duoprop and only 287 hours. The boat was stored for 6 years before being put back into commission last year. Ira Jones surveyed it both on land and a sea trial and he went over it with a fine tooth comb for me. Lol. He's worth every penny!  I don't see any listing for one on boat trader. This model is hard to find. Where are you docked?

  6. Bought a Fish Hawk X4 D from All Seasons a few weeks ago and he seemed to have a good amount of the X4 and the X4 D in stock and priced the same or lower than most others. Give them a call. I believe he is also selling the units on Ebay for the same price with free shipping. 699 for the X4 D and 619 for the X4.

  7. How many of you are using Fluorocarbon leaders tied to 30lb line when fishing downriggers and spoons?  If so, what length leaders and pound test are you using? Also, what is the best knot when tying the leader to the main line? Thanks in advance for your replies.
