  1. I don't know why there is no answer it is a great looking boat and seems reasonably priced for a lightly used boat ready to fish.....economy? ..just not many folks with money to spend anymore and the banks are not so willing these days either. Price is right.

Yeah I would agree with this assessment. Most buyers in this boat's price range usually get bank loans. Not many people with that much disposable income to pay cash. From what I gather and hear it's not that easy getting bank loans for boats these days. Your best bet might be to broker the boat if you aren't already doing so. They can reach a lot more people. I have the larger 2352 hardtop model w/ a 5.7L and I really like the style, power and the way it fishes. Good luck and I hope you sell it soon.

  2. Black's are meant to go either on the cable or between the ball and the cable. Don't put any release on the fin of the weight as the drag of the lure will "back" steer the weight & cause tangles.

I don't attach them to the fin. I attach them between the ball and the cable. Not sure if your answer was meant for me or not?

  3. Hi Hal, Hard to say what problem is with out seeing the way the release is set up. Do you have the release hooked to the ball, or is it on the cable? This year I dumped all my blacks that hook to the ball. I also run 4 riggers with two pancakes on the outside. I got the blacks that you run the rigger cable threw. Put those on with a bead and a crimp two feet above the ball. Helps on the back also, the ball stays in the water when I put the line in the blacks, and you have no pull on the rigger weights. Might be worth a try before you buy new rigger weights. We blew big money on black sharks this year ran them for three weeks. When jason and I put the old 12lb led weights back on the riggers took off again. Who knows? I also have the torpedo weights they work also I do have one that will spin that is just a problem with the one weight. Good luck and let us know how you make out  Sean

Even though I don't have a problem with my Black's releases hooked to the ball, I should think of making this switch since I'm not getting any younger and it's a pain (literally) to be bending over like that so many times a trip. Thanks for the tip!

  4. IDIOT... took the check instead of the boat that fran barrett valued at over 6 G's......retail.....ida taken the boat and waited two or three weeks to make 5 off it in my front yard....nice rig. not to mention for letting it sit down there for three days and for towing it back to the marina Fran took 500 dollars off the deal......not a bad profit for nothing I say!......EVERYONE BUT THE WINNER MADE OUT LIKE BANDITS!.he musta needed the cASH.

Kinda harsh calling the guy an idiot don't you think? You have no idea of the circumstances involved as far as him accepting the cash. Just because he took the cash and you would have taken the boat hardly makes the guy an idiot. It was his choice and really not anyone elses business!

  5. I put this question out on tackle and techniques and was wondering if I would get more of a response for some Finger lakes guys. Does anyone know of a good substitute for a sutton since they are out of business?? I heasrd they may be making some more, but it is just a rumor. I am especially interested in the 44's. I just got some Plasma 44s but they are an inch longer than the real suttons, and I am pretty skeptical about how they will work in comparison. Any thoughts??

    DJ

There is a seller on ebay who has most of them, but as I recall, he didn't have many 44's. I did buy some from him in the past when they were hard to come by and he is a reliable seller. His prices aren't cheap though. PM me and I can give you his ebay name if you are interested and can't find what you are looking to purchase.

Next to your head that fish would look small!

  7. Ya I was just looking for it to steer the boat not pull so much. I think I would set the target speed slower on my kicker then use the electric to pull just slightly to keep her heading straight. Its a 24v system and 70lb thrust so it won't take a whole lot of juice to move the boat with the majority of it coming from the kicker.

Is there an autopilot setup for a kicker/main motor that would be right about the same price? This setup would cost me close to $1000. I have seen autopilot for sail boat rudders but I haven't look around a lot.

The cheapest models will cost you about 1700 bucks for the whole set up plus the cost of installation if you don't do it yourself. You can pay all the way up to close to 4 to 5 grand for some of the more sophisticated models, but that's not necessary for your size boat. Raytheon has the cheapest to some of the most expensive auto pilots around. You can check out their website if you want to look at the various models. There are many choices through various companies. Check out Boe marine, Hodges marine and the GPS store for various models and prices. It would best to talk to someone there for your specific needs. There are also a lot of guys here with full knowledge on what you might be looking for and what might work best for you. Good luck with your search. I'm looking to put a new one on my boat this year too.

  8. I received some dispy rods from my grandfather recently and instead of wire it had nylon line. I bought some 30 lb wire for them but ive never even seen this before. Thought it was braid at first. He says he used Dipsys with them. Anyone use this before with dipsys?

I know we used mono for years going back to the 80's and 90's and possibly into the early 2000's before wire came along and became much more popular for obvious reasons. I'm sure some fisherman are still using mono today.

My first trip on lake Ontario in my own boat 16 ft tracker pro guide. I fish the lake alot on other boats often, but it was awesome to be out on my own! Ended east out of the creek and the rods were on fire. Only ran 4 rods 2 on the boards and 2 flat line.

    [ Post made via Android ] Android.png

Hope you had someone else on board with you if you had 4 rods out  Nice job!

  10. I'm selling my 19.5 foot Sea Nymph because I want to get a bigger boat. It is in good shape and is powered by a 1996 150 hp oil injected 2 stroke Johnson and a 1996 9.9 4 stroke Yamaha kicker with remote controls. Both engines have low hours, have been well mantained and run excellent. The boat has a bimini top with a full stand up enclosure as well as a mooring cover. I use the boat on Lake Ontario. It handles the lake fine with a deep V hull and wide beam and tows very easily. It sits on a matching Sea Nymph Shoreland'r bunk trailer that is in very good condition. The boat has lots of storage and is a great rig to fish out of. $8000.00 or best offer. I will entertain all offers. If interested call me at 607-437-6502

    John

Isn't there any electronics or fishing equipment that comes with the boat?

  11. Hope that includes sailboats with kickers! They could learn about a boat overtaking another boat . Slower boat has right of way. Never understood how a sailboat going 10mph faster than I am thinks I can get out of the way!

Sorry bud, according to the rules,a sailing vessel always has the right of way.

There is discussion about that being true when the vessel is under engine power, but as a rule of fist, it is the rag boat that has right of way.

I thought that was only true if they were sailing, not under power.
