Quick sit for me this morning. First 2 minutes in stand I had a fisher run around and stayed for about 5 minutes. Pretty cool To see. About an hour later had a doe with fawn come through. They didn’t like something as they hit the brakes hard and did a big circle back to where they came from. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Hunting in Wayne county. First shots fired at 635 and consistently pretty solid till about 7. This is from the same group of guys who haven’t stepped foot in the woods all year except to maybe place a salt lick .....( always going to be those types of guys ) I just wished it wasn’t near my property. I took my nephew (who is 22) hunting the first time this year. Needless to say he was like a kid on Christmas. I asked him to meet me at 545am and he was there at 4 waiting because he couldn’t sleep and didn’t want to be late. We did an all day sit with a short break in between without seeing a deer. He was disappointed but not discouraged. He has hunted everyday since, on state land no less, because he has no where of his own to go and he managed to take his first deer ever. It was a 4pt but to him it might as well have been a B&C. He couldn’t wait to call me and tell me the story of how the hunt went down and what he did to finally get his first deer. To me this is what hunting is about. I for one have shot my share of Spike, 4 Pt, and 2 year old 6s in my life when I first started. Now I have moved into the “mature” phase of hunting. I still enjoy sitting in the stand and seeing the spikes and 4 PTs running around I just choose not to harvest them. But as stated by many above if a hunter decides to and does it ethically and legally that is their right. I will say that when my nephew called me it brought back many feelings and emotions of my first deer and I will never forget that. Just my .02 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I’m glad I filled a couple tags early. Had good movement all season up until last week. It has shut down for me. I have gone 3 sits ( 20+ hours ) without seeing a deer. Makes for long days. Looking at rain/wind forecast today will be my last sit for bow. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Honesty hurts ..... I’m hunting Northern Zone today with my crossbow to give my shoulder a break ( surgery in feb) from Southern zone bow in which I already filled 2 tags Well I just had a slammer buck come in behind me. Never heard him until he was at ten yards. I grabbed my xbow ( reverse limb, this will be important in a second) leaned around the tree to get a shot at him. I squared up on him took off the safety and squeezed the trigger. The left limb smacked the tree which twisted the sh!$ out of my shoulder and I smacked myself in the jaw with the buttstock. It was a clean miss as this made my arrow (bolt) go off course. All I could do is sit in disbelief ( and pain ) as I watched the buck take off .... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

This morning I wasn’t in my stand for 2 minutes when all I heard was leaves crashing and sticks breaking. Out of nowhere come 3 rabbits ripping through. I was like WTH ??? Ten minutes later a beautiful red fox come behind their trail nose to the ground. Was different and cool to see Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

Not a single deer on my way to my property this morning, very rare. I wasn’t in my stand for 2 minutes and heard leaves crashing and sticks breaking. Out of nowhere come 3 rabbits flying through the words. Ten minutes later the most beautiful red fox comes following their trail. Something different to start my day Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

I went ahead and spent the money on the aluminum. Best thing I ever did. Lightweight and easy to use and honestly the confidence in the safety and comfort sold it for me. It’s a stand I can honestly spend 5 hours in without getting sore or cramps 'Bout Time Mike

I have one property that is solely a climber area (locals will steal anything in a heartbeat). I had similar experience with my original climber (pin and cable type) that was enough for me. Summit viper best investment I made. Never had an issue again Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
