  1. Fishing remains Solid out of Fair Haven. Managed 28 bites in just 3 trips. Total time on water for all three trips was just 7 hours. Went 6 for 9 in a solo trip with all solid 4-6lb browns and one 4+ lb smallmouth Followed that with a 14 for 16 trip again all solid 4-6 lb browns and one small steelhead. Brought family out this afternoon and managed to go 3 for 3 with each kid getting one. Bay rats off the boards and mongoose stinger off the riggers have been my go to program. Fished waters from 7-13 feet. 2 Highlights of the trip were the kids, and ended the morning trip with a quad with just 2 of us onboard. 'Bout Time Mike
  2. The municipal launch is the same as little sodus inn. 'Bout Time Mike
  3. Turtle cove is the same as king st. The only three I know of are turtle cove(king st), the state park, and little sodus inn. There are not many open launches anywhere on the southeast side currently 'Bout Time Mike
  4. Berts, cannon, traxtech are all interchangeable. Can use any of their rod holders or accessories with any of the tracks. 'Bout Time Mike
  5. The launch on king road is open. It's a straight launch with little to no tie up room. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Fair Haven 5/4 Came down to check the boat after being away for the week and couldn't resist the chance to wet some lines. Glad I did. only fished for 1.5 hours but managed 5 decent browns. No double digits in weight but all were right around the 4-6 lb range, The water was very muddy on the inside. I concentrated on the edge which in some areas pushed out to 25 FOW. Took fish off boards pulling Bay Rat frog, and Brown trout candy. MVP for the day was a Stinger mongoose spoon down 8-10 off the rigger.
  7. Until further notice the launch at the state park is closed 'Bout Time Mike

These are 12 pounds each. i'm not looking to make any money off them just looking for them to go to someone who can use them. $50 for the pair picked up in Syracuse or Fair Haven or $55 shipped

  13. Lots of browns being caught out of FH and even a couple Kings. A beautiful 24 1/2 lb was brought in yesterday. Most everyone was having success Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. I have a trophy 2352 with a 5.7 V8. At one point there was an oil leak and now the bilge is thick grease. I cannot reach the bottom of the bilge to scrub it and the boat sits on a trailer currently. I have ready many posts about bilge cleaner, dishwashing liquid, simple green, etc. Wondering what my best options are and what everyone else uses? 'Bout Time Mike
  15. If you're interested in that type of finish it'd be easier to buy rubber replaceable netting. Just need to know the size. I use a rubber net for browns but a regular one for salmon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. For me personally this hits home. I just underwent shoulder surgery and will not be able to bow hunt for 2-3 years at best (if ever again). I have talked to the local DEC officer and my injury does not qualify for a "allowance" to use a crossbow or other such bow during the normal bow season. The law is more geared towards permanently disabled and/or amputees. I have never truly considered cross bow as I was a hardcore compound guy, but this has definitely opened my eyes about it. Maybe if they don't open it to everyone but rather change the law that allows hunters with certain injuries to hunt with a crossbow during normal season. They would have to produce a doctors note and obtain a special permit allowing it. I'm not sure there is a correct answer in "everyone's" eyes but can can tell you how bad it hurts to hear you may never be able to do something again when it is your true passion. It will be tough to "sit on the sideline" for a month or so awaiting for the crossbow season to open this year. I generally put in 30-35 days in the woods out of a normal bow season which is roughly 45 days....... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. I also have high seas rod tree. I also couldn't pass up the price I got on eBay for them. Great quality and no issues so far. I only use mine for early brown trout season and later in the end of season when fishing the top 30'. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I run 13 and 15 lb torpedos on my cannons (mag 10HS and STX) with no problem. I also run 12-14 lb sharks without issues. Make sure you are using heavy gauge wiring for your power connection. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. The best ive come up with is to use a cheap cutting board from Wally World. Trace one of the existing dividers and then I cut the outside shape out with a band saw and use a table saw for all the grooves the hooks fit into. it works great and is waterproof too
