  1. The world population is increasing by close to 82 million every year. The world's food supply is already strained and will be the biggest problem going forward.
  2. I will not be able to participate in further discussion on this debate on northern pike being Catch & Release for Tournaments until I return from Guyana South America in early March.I will not have Internet service being 272 miles inland in the rain forest fishing!
  3. The musky seminars each day will be assume.I wish I would have been around to be on the Musky Round Table on Sunday at 12:30, but I fly out of Toronto for Guyana South America guiding clients in the rain forest fishing for Peacock Bass & Arapima for 6 weeks! Good luck to all my friends doing the seminars!
  4. The one thing is that you will need your parents to sign off for your pre-employment drug test for random drug testing program and if you get called to take a drug test before turning 18 they would need to sign off again.I do not know where you live, but a few charter Captian's out of Barcelona Harbor & Dunkirk Harbor are looking for help every summer. As the Pres. of E.L.E.C.B.A. I will most likely get asked in May again this year if I know of anyone.Send me a private email with contact info and I will find out for you what is available after I come back from Guyana South America in early March, leaving to there next week to guide in the rain forest.
  5. Pike are a little bit hardier then muskies in the cold.Muskies anytime the outside temperature is below 20 degrees or below freezing with wind, the gills can freeze and the fish is then going to die.If the cornea of the eye turns opaque, the cornea is frozen and the fish will become blind.Pike can handle the cold better then a muskie can, but at temperatures of 10 degrees or lower the Pikes gills will freeze in short time as well as the cornea of the eye.Only sure thing is to keep the pike or muskie in the water as much as possible and any lifting for a picture should be very quickly done and right back in the water.
  6. Thanks to the 10 persons who took me up on this offer, at 7 pm the offer will be over! *******Closed*******
  7. Tomorrow at 7 pm I will end the Buy One Get One Free Full Day Charter Deal! Many thanks to all those who took advantage of this offer!
  8. January 15th is getting close, if you were thinking about the Buy One Get One Free Fishing Charter Deal you will need to make that decision very soon. Two Full Day Fishing Charters for the price of one!
  9. Man's imprint on Global Warming is only about 1%, one natural disaster like when Mt St. Helen's eruption did more to damage the ozone layer then all the rest of the world s pollution into the atmosphere. The polar ice caps have actually been growing as well. Al Gore is wrong!
  10. Tom, I sent you a private email but it says your blocked! Email me at [email protected]
  11. Tigerhunter, I took part with others in talks with the NYSDEC in getting this change to an earlier NY Inland Musky Season. Both the NY Muskies Chapter 69 & Niagara Musky Association had membership voting on supporting this and sent in supporting letters. Some wanted the season to start May 1st the same time as Tiger Muskie Season. But Warm Water Biologists out of Albany decided that with a small percentage of spawning possibly taking place on some waters that it was best not to start earlier then the 4th Saturday in May.This went up for Public Review and there was no opposition to the change. It was adopted as a rule change, but goes into effect when the New NY State Fishing Regulations Publication comes out on April 15th,2015.I have been assured that the earlier season change and 40" size limit will be in that new publication.
  12. Also for 2015 Inland Musky Season it starts earlier this year May 30th and goes to November 30th.The size limit has also been raised to 40" for all Inland waters. For the Great Lakes Waters the Musky Season still starts on the 3rd Saturday in June.Only change is the size limit is 54" through out all Great Lakes Waters. The New NYSDEC Fishing Regulations Publication coming out in April will show all these changes!
  13. Mortigan, Thanks I sent you private email as well!
  14. Mortigan, I did receive a request for the Gift of Fishing Certificate Deal and decided that I will honor it even though it is past the cutoff date.Since I put this up over the Holidays when most people did not have funds available because of Christmas expenses, I have extended the Buy One Get One Free Deal until January 15th!
  15. Tom, Yes I have fished Lake St.Claire, good numbers of muskies, more smaller fish then bigger ones. The bigger muskies on the Niagara River / Buffalo Harbor trend to have much more girth. But St.Claire fishermen can have multiple fish days, some have caught over 20 muskies in one day!
  16. Congrats on some great fishing, had to just be fun as can be with a noodle rod!
  17. You stated in one of your posts that you had product to supplement prize checks!
  18. They are only paying out the first 3 Places in 7 categories also! They will most likely give you donated merchandise in place of cash! If they do not get good numbers of entrants they will not be around very long!
  19. Panfisher, Everything you say would be nice but the added expense to purchase the measuring / weighing instrument would not be what the regular guy would spend money on just to fish a tournament, they would just not get in.See I'm not anti tournament either, I believe tournaments promote fishing and make more eyes see what we have for all to enjoy. But at the same time one must look at long term effects on certain fish species to see what may be detrimental to that fishes survival.Catch & Release for Northern Pike with signed witness and lie - detector test for winners at the end is all that is needed to insure that we have big northern pike available for all to enjoy catching again in the future. The promoter of this state wide tourney has said he will be open to discussion to make changes for 2016 Tourney, I'm OK with that and will follow up with them on that comittment they made. In the meantime I will avoid entering this Tourney as the northern pike rules are now.I would ask those who do enter participate by entering all species but northern pike!
  20. Tom, The 91 muskies included Ohio, Pa, NY & Ontario Muskies to my boat, that is down 50+ what I normally catch each year. There are guys claiming to catch 100+ muskies a week on St. Claire!
  21. An updated online leader board in real time to show the leading fish is a must or fishermen will be killing fish with the thinking they have the winner, only to find out after the fact they do not and they could have released the fish.
  22. Tom, Big Hawg muskies never came in this year water stayed in mid to upper 40's out in Lake Erie till the end, holding gizzard Shad and Big Spotted Muskies out deep. The biggest I caught at Chautauqua was 49 1/2" and 48 1/2" on the Niagara River with nine other fish from 47" to 48", only 91 muskies total for the year, but missed all of September, half of October & November this past year. Biggest for the Niagara River was 51" and biggest I seen a picture of from the "Larry" was 56"!
