  1. Matt,

So sorry to hear you lost your lab.Wed had three over the last 35 years an it is hard.I thought I might loss my female Tasha 9 yrs as she developed a fast growing mammary tumor. We took her in and had the works done so hopefully we caught it in timeI don't know what caused your dogs death sometimes it happens that way,my son's lab Taz passed away quickly also.

Cancer treatment for dogs  has come along way but while expensive is well worth itThe best advice is to learn the warning signs before and more dogs could be saved.

You'll met your lab someday at the Rainbow Bridge where all dogs wait for their master.

  2. I have a small pond and keep about a dozen tame malards. Its kept open with a bubbler and nothing much bothers them. But lately Ive got many wild udcks coming in so much that they empty my feeder about 4o lbs of corn a day now and the hole is only 15 ft wide due to the cold.post-144987-0-62881800-1425615557_thumb.jpgpost-144987-0-62881800-1425615557_thumb.jpg

  3. I mounted my 9.9 0n my swim platform on my 268 searay..It was a long shaft t but not n

long enough to get a good bite under thw transom. So i bought a 1/2 plate of aluminum and mounted it on my swim bracketThen I mounted my old OMC kickdown bracket..I got it 6 in deeper just enough to get even with the bottom.I also had a extra support bracket made so the motor had alot of support.Three years use and no loosening,a great backup .I plan on a 4 stroke this year suski to replace my 2 stroke 9.9.Swim platform mounts work but you have to beef them up and find a way to get the motor deep enough to work

Last summer Instead of buying the foreign reels I bought a bunch of older USA made Penns on ebay.Ive had my older penns since the 80"s they'll probably last for many generations.

If we take the time to demand good USA products we will save ourselves alot of future headaches and put America back to work

  5. Hey I bet we could get enough professionals together and make one for production. We would be the only USA made shanty.

I know a great canvas guy that would love to get in on a business deal like this.

How about it ice fisherman !!!!

Ill let you know what he says and send me your ideas.

We could put a small number of people back to work.

  6. My problem with all the shelters I've seen as they are all imported junk.I bought my sons two clams a feww years ago and the floors are shot.Till I have a good quality shelter made here USA forget it.Maybe Ill look ebay for a used USA before the companies sold out their workers.Maybe a good USA made tent might work, want a bigger one for grandkids

We got to stop listening  to the people who keep telling us we can't produce affordable  quality products anymore.

    USA made or bust.

  7. there are good guides on the fingerlakes, alot cheaper than buying your spread andeasier on you phsicaly.delaware also has excellent hunts. My one son went to SD a few years ago they got over150 3 guys 3 days of hunting I should have gone.West coast birds are smaller though/

  8. we got about 300 deeksand 2 dozen flyers  now but it takes a lot.Unless you catch the late birds which are younger and easier to get,it was always easier to get them to decoy if the big flocks weren't around, jumping them does get birds but it also drives birds away from areas.next march we will give a another try hopefully.Sometimes they just drop in so fast ,then they hop all over ,lol

  9. My two sons and me had a great hunt on New Years eve.My oldest son started going with me when he was 3,lol.My second oldest started going with us when he 4.They are both die hard duck hunters along with tournament bass fisherman,Well they grew out of the trolling and I can see why as it can be alittle slow compared to jigging for our monster largemouth.

For those. with young children there is no better place than a good fishing hole well made a duck blind to. :)  :)  :) post-144987-0-01901600-1421603780_thumb.jpg
