1. Troy. I live right near the lake. And slip my boat there. First off. Congratulations. I too am taking the plunge in July.

Seneca has the best wine tour out of all of them. Weather you choose one side or the other or try the whole thing. I recommend the east side from hector to Three Brothers Winery. Great time. The fiancee and I do this trip annually. The Watkins Glen Gorge is fun along with the gorge on Cayuga lake. Many attractions in the area. Great nightlife in Watkins as well. Geneva too. And as for what mower said, a cottage rental is a good deal. I have many clients who rent cottages and they say it blows the hotels out of the water.

Wish you luck,
Nick

Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

2. Hey, I think this is a great idea. It is not very common in our area but I too would like to get something like this over here on Seneca. I have had customers in which their health was not the best and struggled getting into the boat. Since I have gotten a set of stairs at their request that make boarding and unboarding a bit easier. If there is a way I can help from my end, I will. Nick
 3. What time did you launch? I saw a boat go by my place on 14N shortly after 8. Big john riggers and a suv towin? Was it you. I spent all day working on my boat!
 4. Thanks. I am a diesel tech so its in my skill set but I hate gasoline engines! But I am glad, I feel sorry for guys who have to pay the crazy high marina prices for even some of the smallest things..

Nick

Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

5. Stringers are good. The bulkheads though are bad. They were only painted. I drilled a few holes on stringers and checked ok... luckily... I would of hated that job! These floors are tight to get under but already got the bulkheads cut out.

Nick

Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

13. I had the 788ci. Nothing but issues with that unit. I paid almost 800 when it first came out. It was a hassle to get anything repaired. And they told me over and over I wired it wrong. Nope. Transducer failure. Thumbs down to Johnson outdoors for customer support. Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
 14. When it comes to units, its a ford Chevy debate... I choose the Ford.. but that's me. I run a ray marine unit. Love it. I have had hummimbird, lowrance. My raymarine A70d is great. However. I have had no issues so not sure on support. But I do know Johnson outdoors aka humminbird customer support is horrible. IMO. Never heard much bad about lowrance other than transducer faults. 16. Small fingerlings will have a forked tail. That is a brown. No doubt about it. Doubt its a lamprey mark, may be a wound from a bird or something else. Note the jaw and spots. Nice brown. Nick Sent from my XT907 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

 25. Sorry, I tried. There is one on the ithaca CL, for an ungodly amount. You can buy a new one, venture, for around 4500. i priced them out and that is with a 10k lb carrying cap. Good luck, I got lucky and found a tandem that fit my vessel. Nick
