Seneca 8/2/12 w/ pics.............
lakebound88 replied to ioiosoiwork's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
It's a myth? We all have tough days out there.. Others, and I have all had some pretty bad ones this year. As far as fleas go, I upped the line on my rigger rods to 40 lb Andes with fluor leaders. No fleas on those rods. As far as fishign goes, they are there, jsut cant keep lines clean long enough. I love running the big spread but were even limited to the few rods now. I have been running bigger lures, and alot deeper as well.. A lot of my big lakers this year have come from over 130 down. But the brown bites are always good if you can find a steady bottom and t-cline.. Nick -
AMEN to that... LOL! I lost out on over 6 trips last month due to the failure of my ignition system... Every little but helps!! Besides us FLX guys are paying 4.98 a gallon for fuel.... CRUNCH!!

Just figured I remind everyone what it really stood for.... [ Post made via Android ]

I would say it is electrical. Water in the fuel can be ok at idle, may cause a surge, but you really notice it on the top end side of things, you can't get there!! I just replaced my ignition system in my boat, ALL of it. I went with the Mallory YLM breakless ignition. BUrned up 3 coils before mallory finally told me I needed the coil pack assembly versus the one that comes in their kit.. Go figure right? But now my boat runs bettter, starts up without pumping the throttle, idles smoother and faster holeshots.. I have about 700 into this new system, but the piece of mind is worth it. To me , it still sounds as if your contact points are "green".. Check the inside of the cap. Maybe you even have wires jumping.. start up and grab some wires!! Kidding, dont do that, but if you take a spray bottle, and mist some water over the wires, and hear baccon cooking, replace your wires:).. Racing guy taught me that trick.. Good luck, Nick

I run 70-80 foot leads. How many colors? [ Post made via Android ] -
try a mushroom? should be enought to hold you and not catch weeds..

honestly, sounds like an ignition problem. I wouldn't pass up the water in the filter, however, if it were water it would die down. It sounds like you are not burning hot enough at idle, remove the cap, check to see if its "green" on the contact points. Common issue and an easy fix.. Check those minor things first.. I am leaning away from the filter right now, more towards cap and rotor..

go with ugly sticks ed, I am running the 8'3" lights, they are an absotlute blast, when the fleas go away, i will go back to the 7 foot lights Durable and sensitive.. oh and good report, I found some browns up your way last week, I am sure you know where.. about 54 fow

Well guys. I want to start off by thanking all of you and our sponsors. Everyone worked together and the cooler checks couldn't of went more smoothly.... It was pretty neat watching everyone come down and back. The shot gun start was a great sight to watch. I wish I had the gopro on. I was very impressed with everyone making it out safe and returning safely even if Brett and his gang only made it with thirty seconds. They planned that I bet, Hiding around the corner, just to make it look good. You know, the whole fashionably late thing.. LOL! I would like to thank everyone for keeping everything so neat and clean after dinner. It made for a quick clean up for me and a few others. Would like to thank my brother Mike and wife Kim for doing the running around for food for us Frog hollow for the use of the docks, and pavillion, and facillities. Worked great Hills, Valley's, Streams for their support and such a great store! Big Weenie and Dreamweaver for their gift certificates . Sean for his help with kids prizes. Here is what everyone wants to see. Enough with the phone calls for results already... Seneca is slow on south end till September, once on a while a good bite. You're presentations sound good. Try a bit further up the lake. Around Smith park area. Or try Cayuga once or twice. Better bite on that lake usually [ Post made via Android ]
