Me and my son hit the water for the last hour and a half tonight. Got all the rods set right around 7 and fished until 8:30. We had a blast. Steady pick until we started pulling lines. Caught fish from 100 to 200. Spoons and flasher flies both producing tonight. It was a Father’s Day I won’t forget anytime soon

I’m sure you can use any bead that is the right size

These fish were weighed on the boat and released right there where they were caught. I’m not saying I agree with this, because it happens in such volume during a tournament like this. But at the end of the day, you have guys every day who aren’t “pros” pulling these fish off beds and don’t bat an eye. If it were a tournament where all these bass were being brought to a weigh in, my tune would be different.

Shad die offs isn’t unusual at all. It happens in the ponds in Greece in the spring from time to time. I wouldn’t worry about it

Had two first timers out on Lake Ontario before I started work this morning. Dropped lines at 5:30 and fished till 8:30. That NE wind had things shut down hard this morning. Not even the lake trout wanted to bite lol. Scattered marks and bait from 50 to 130. We did end up grabbing a few bites though. Just had to work for them. They both thought it was awesome and had a great time. I guess that’s all that matters. Would have loved for them to tie into a nice king though! Anyone been finding a good bite lately?

Hit the water with the family around 5:30 and fished till 7:45. Quick trip. Started setting rods pointed North in 50 fow. Did see a lot of bait and marks from 50-80, but kept going. Worked 110 to 135 and grabbed 7 bites. Mostly small kings and a laker. Lost the biggest at the back of the boat as my daughter was reeling it in (about 12 pounds). No one stellar bait. Took 2 off the rigger, 2 rips on divers, and 3 rips on the torpedo divers off the boards. Worked 30 to 55 down. East troll was best. Good luck the rest of the weekend

Well…….I’ve put a ton of time in this year, and it all finally came together this morning. Got a picture of a Tom last night on my spypoint around 7:45pm. Figured he would be roosted somewhere close to that area. Got in early 4am, so I could sneak in close. Sat for an hour and 20 minutes before I finally heard the bird gobble. He was right in front of me about 70 yards. He proceeded to gobble about 50 times on the limb. I couldn’t see him, and he couldn’t see me as we had a huge tree in between us. Thought for sure he was going to pitch right down in-front of me, and it was going to be game over. Well as turkey hunting usually goes, the turkey did the complete opposite and pitched down into the back field. I decided to make a move and try and swing around behind him and call him into the woods. Did that exact thing. He came in spitting, drumming, and gobbling his head off. Came out onto the trail at 40 yards, and that’s all she wrote. Nothing better!!! 10” beard 1 3/8” spurs
