  1. The spill happened in '05, a holding tank wall collapsed, spilling liquid manure into the river. Definitely killed a bunch of fish, but it was mostly far upstream of Dexter. Supposedly it had little to no impact on the bay as it was largely dilluted by the time it reached the lake. Still not good for the fish or the environment, but I never noticed the difference. I fished there before and after the spill and that place is still a fish factory in the spring, as far as walleyes go Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. I'm not judging anyone on this, been down that road before....I do know even if I were to land a musky like that I surely wouldn't have handled it that way, posing for a picture doing their death hold no less. The paddle fish seems a little less susceptible to damage, especially the way it's being handled it that photo. The times I have seen them caught on tv, they were being snagged, legally, with the old fashion salmon snagger trebles. Apparently if that states conservation department feels it's ok to "fish" for them that way then they must be a fairly tough fish. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  7. In all honesty the fishing hot spot maps, while maybe being a little outdated, offer pretty accurate information on where walleyes might be during certain parts of the season. Not the gospel but its a decent starting point Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
