  1. Seems about right unfortunately, most fish and game violators are let off way too easy. For all the man hours that was probably put into this investigation, and the fact that is was a federal violation, I was expecting a bigger punishment. But then again, I'm not surprised..... 2. Bite was definitely tough all weekend. We were lucky enough to land 4 on Saturday. 2@7lbs, one just over 10lbs, and one just over 11lbs. We were in a small derby pretty much between local guys and tough fishing was the word from everyone. Never moved a rod Sunday. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I've always preferred daiwa accudepth 27s and ugly stiks Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Launched there opening day of walleye, bring tall rubber boots or hip waders Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. A forty-ish foot tree in the back of chaumont bay by the bridge, it blocked us from getting back to the launch for quite awhile before it floated along it's merry way Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I'll be registered! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Haha that bridge has claimed more than a few rods left in the rocket launcher Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. I would absolutely never mess with them. I'm assuming they will be removed by next weekend, they're right in the middle of one of the busiest trolls for opening weekend of walleye. If not someone should get a video camera ready because they would most certainly get trolled through that day. I was just wondering because I've never noticed them before in years past. 9. I'm sure there's a candidate in there lol. Now this may be a stupid question, but I'm assuming any fish tangled up in the net will be a goner? Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Ok thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. Judging by where they're placed and the time of the year I have a good guess of what'll be in there Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Can anyone identify these buoys purpose? They've been on the north shore of black river bay for a few days now Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. I started hunting with a lever gun when I was 16. When it came time for me to buy my own new gun I wanted another lever. It's not a 45/70 or a 35, I chose a Marlin MXLR chambered in .308, gray laminate, stainless action/barrel. The only reason I chime in is because to this day it's still the most beautiful gun I own. Marlin offers this same style in 45/70, and reliable too! Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  17. If I can give any boat (or anyone) on this board an endorsement, it's this one. I fished off this boat many, many times in ALL conditions. I cut my teeth on this vessel and learned a ton from it's captain. It's a great fishing boat to say the least. Outfitted to fish anything Lake O has to offer. From the shipping lanes to Mexico bay and everywhere in between this boat has ALWAYS made me feel safe and has won multiple derby titles. Wallaholic has always taken extreme care of this boat. A great vessel for any future owner. Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Don't think your getting out of sackets, black river bay is all iced up. Looking through binos from pillar point towards Henderson looks like that's iced in to. Haven't been over there to confirm but looks like alot of white Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. I live on the far east end of the lake and the sands out of stony creek can be good. But I think it's a little more hit and miss than Mexico. I've had a mix of mostly browns/lakers this way, where as Mexico has better mix of trout overall, and possible kings generally speaking. More creek mouths in that area to fish in front of as well I believe. Either way I've had great and not so great days at both. It's fishing.... I've personally fished off of this boat...in the best/worst of what lake ontario can throw at ya. Very stable rig made for the big water with tons of fishing room. (p.s. Matt this is Erik, I fished with you and plumpton in black river bay that day just for reference lol Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. That's awesome, they're a beautiful bird. I've fallen in love with the sport of waterfowl. Just like when I first started trolling big water, so much to learn it almost seems endless Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. King eider is a bucket list hunt for me for sure. Started out with puddle ducks a few years ago, and as with any hobby the obsession grows.... Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Did a little more investigating...Someone spotted and posted about this duck a couple days ago on what I would assume is a reputable bird watching website.(The Cornell lab of orinthology) They have it identified as a white winged scoter. He's been 50yds off my shoreline all day, currently the only bird out there right now. I wasn't sure how rare this sighting is. Pretty cool either way being able to get to see something different Sent from my XT1585 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
