First deer of the night is a doe under me now. Just sat down.

Locked in and let the grind begin! Excited for the next 10 days ahead! Sitting in a prime bedding area.

Few more hours until my rutcation and the grind starts! Have hunted very little up to this point in hopes of not bothering my area until now!

All next week at least maybe more if need be.

I'm well aware of that, my point was he was living on my property non stop, then was bumped and took off.

Nope he was killed on the 19th of this month.

Nope he was a mile and half north of my property over night. I know this because I have trail cam videos of him tearing up a scrape under my stand Thursday and he was dead by 5pm ish Friday! Still sick!

This is the outcome of a bumped mature buck when you had him dead to rights!

I would wait until he is moving during day light or damn close to it. Big mature bucks know when the doe's are ready unlike the 1st and 2nd racked bucks. If he gets bumped out there's are good chance your out of luck! Believe me I know it happened to me this year with a buck I was chasing that was moving during daylight and I thought I had it in a bag. Before I knew a doe got killed right near is core area and had to be retrieved two Thursdays ago. By Friday evening he was a mile and a half north and DEAD!

Last night was a bust for me. Only had one encounter, and that was a deer blowing at me that I never was able to put eyes on. The best is a head of us!

Any areas that looked like he may have bedded down? I would look into having a tracking dog come out if possible.

Congrats! Nothing like it! Settled in and waiting for my turn. Wind is swirling alot here, but nothing new as it Always does! Looking for one particular buck I've been chasing for 3 years. I'm in the spot that I had the only encounter with him ever 2 years ago.

Nothing wrong with waiting!! Its extremely hard, believe me I know because it has burned me in the past! If you did not see him go down, I would give it time. If your confident in your shot, go wrap your hands around that son b!+ch!! And post some pics. I'm chomping at the bit to get out of work!

Yes, I have been talked to and have recieved tickets before. Those were while duck hunting. Doesn't mean I wont be getting anymore down the road though!!

Locked in and in the area I believe one of my shooters is living. Today's high pressure and temps forced me to try. He frequent this area last year this time if year, and pics lead me to him traveling from this direction. Wind is a bit swirly but fingers are crossed!
