Checked plots and cards today, all on the 4wheeler. Not many bucks on camera, until the past week. All of a sudden they are here heavy! Love this time of year, scrapes opened up all over. The deer have absolutely destroyed my radish plots, so clover is all I have left. Good luck tomorrow and all season fellas! Have a feeling it could be great!

I heard Mark Drury talking about this new app on the Wired to Hunt podcast. And it sounds pretty cool. This guy is a scientist when it comes to deer hunting. Great info.

And my cameras showed the bucks were on their Saturday morning.

Also want to give old Mother Nature a big thank you for this desperately needed rain!! Food plots should love this , and its helping clearing out some of the scent I left behind yesterday!

Just finished up a 9 hour shift in the woods today. And I'm shot! Cleared down trees and mowed all the trails. Checked/ moved stands, cut shooting lanes. Moved and brushed in ground blinds.... you name it and I'm still not done. Food plots are not doing well due to the extreme lack of rain in my area. Only have one decent buck on camera at this point and have had 6 cameras soaking for over a month. Doesn't worry me to much as the good ones unusually dont show up until mid October anyway. Love this thread and cant wait to start chasing the best animal in North America!!

Was able to get some mowing done last night finally! Next week will be spraying, tilling, spray again then seed will go into the ground for this plot. Clover/chicory plots took a beating this summer with the lack of rain and beating sun. High Hope's the rain we have gotten helps bring them back to life!
