  1. I fished to the east of you most of the morning we had similar results moved a bit north and started running into weed pods the size of our boat so turned around and worked back .. There were a ton of fish in there I think we ended up with 47 fish for the day all returned except for 9 fish .. Great day on the water just couldn't find the big Lakers.. Iron Duke UV Extravaganza and Bellis Program Flies did most of the damage on the Lakers and a few salmon all our rainbows came in the the T Cline at 54 foot down on Finger Lakes Tackle Spoons..Finished 6th overall for the day.. Was a beautiful morning on the water....99ed94205bb904420438905c0842179c.jpg big weed pods

  3. Staying at Sampson Sunday through Wednesday. Pondering if I should bring the boat down or not. Hows the area been? I would have to re do all my leaders, all for kings now lol. How are the weeds and fleas ? May just bring the boat to take the kids for a ride as well

Last weekend the fishing was pretty good out of Sampson we boated quite a few lakers and salmon... We found that there were spots with no fish but then you would come across spots holding good numbers of fish and we would just keep working those fish picking up 1 or 2 each pass... Weeds were spotty fleas also...

  4. Seneca Slammer - Out of curiosity do you know who makes that spoon on top? I have one in a different color (orange with bronze checkered tape) that is killer for LLS on Lake George and have wanted to find some more. thanks!

Those are O&M Lures Lake masters.. Great spoons if you happen to still have a few.. They are not in production anymore but did see a few at Brewers on a rack not to long ago for sale...

  5. Thanks Skatch and ID! Duke, I was on your website, some real nice trolling flys you have there! Ill be placing an order soon.

I have tried to run a dipsy on a wire roller rod (size 1 and mag dipsy) and it seems to cause more trouble than its worth so far. Lost a HUGE brown/LLS at Cayuga last year when it jumped over the wireline at the back of the boat. Ill keep experimenting until success.

It happens to the best of us trust me lol.. Big landlocks Browns and Rainbows will go where they want when they want so it's good to have a guy with ya that can help get rods and riggers out of the way when the fish nears the boat. . Good luck to ya and look forward to your reports

  6. Cover the water column if the fish are scattered throughout. .We run 4 dipsys 2 which are usually spoons in the upper water column and the other two deep usually around 80 and 100 those running flasher flies.. Also run one of my riggers deep to cover over 100 foot marks I'm marking on my Lowrance. . I like a 17" lead off my flasher to the fly.. Use all your gear to cover different depths and find out what they want than adjust from there.. Hope this helps any other questions feel free to pm me anytime

  7. Not a problem at all... Matter of fact great idea... I'm a rookie to website building so am still working on getting everything the way it should be but I can definitely see where your coming from and hopefully by the end of the week I will have it updated so everyone can see the difference between unrigged and rigged and I will try to get up a set up tutorial as well.. Thanks for the suggestions

  8. Thanks John.. The UV Extravaganza Fly has definitely been getting it done this year.. We here appreciate all your feed back and as well as your sharing with others about our flies.. I do need to get some video or pics of this fly in the water because it is quite different from most trolling flies.. Definitely has its own unique look when that early morning sun lights it up... Thanks Again
