    Girl friend family has a place a mile south of long point so we put the boat in and ran down to power plant area... Never fished this far north before but gave it a try 830am-1130 am TONS of bait pods in 30FOW so much so we snagged alewifes on spoons on riggers ...... lots of marks but only skipper salmon were takers on stick on boards and on riggers with spoons... probably could have had some nicer fish if we started out at 630 am,,,, I say if you are looking for fish the area is loaded with bait 49 degree surface temp over 25-60 fow bait pods are in 20- 35 fow

    Braid backing... 1000 ft of wire.. Tie on large clip swivrl .. Connect dipsey.. 10-12 feet heavy fluro then your bait

    we all use 30 plus because the diameter keeps the spiny fleas off our line in the summer

    Was out today.. Ran west to rice creek and it was cold 44 and gin clear... Took 2 small browns and a small steelhead.. Trolled back to harbor and headed west as you know found stained water and about 50 degrees and moved 5 more rods with beat being 7 lb steelhead May have done better if went east first but I'd do circles in the harbor for a while in the morning then just head east and come back and just cover water
