    I have Raymarine autopilot with X5 drive unit for steering. Last trip drive unit started to make noise and wouldn’t turn... From what I read possible belt or gear slipping or clutch pads... To my understanding Raymarine stopped servicing these units so the only option is to take it apart and see if I can get parts online or maybe someone has one here for sale. Wondering if anyone tried to service these units themselves?

    Looking to upgrade from Lowrance 8 HDS. Looked at prices and options on Gen3 but after recent Simrad software update I can get Simrad NSS9 evo 2 for about $1100 from Hodges and thinking to order Simrad total scan transducer with it...
