What should be in my tackle box heading out to lake o in July? Basically what are must haves. Also are there any good books out there on fishing the lake o and trolling techniques?
Ok, So I am probably gonna pull the trigger on a combo package of the Depthmaster or the Okuma..HAving said that, I am gonna look for 7'6" rods in Medium Heavy action. I should also look for the 30 series rells rather than the 20series correct?
I have a 221v Starcraft islander with double axle trailer. need some new kicks on it. Would like to make some drives to Lake O from my home area which is about a 3.5 hour drive. Wondering if getting radial tires would be worth investing in or just standard trailer tires?
Ok, Looking to outfit my Starcraft 221V with some heavier gear to do some Lake O fishing in thefuture. Home base is the Great Sacandaga Lake and mainly walleye fishing. Would like to hit the Lake O for recreation a few times a year. Having said that, I am not goingto go out and pay $300 for a trolling rod/reel combo. I do not plan on making my living at this.
Looking into the Cabelas Depthmaster rigs. We have two of them already, I beleive the 20A reels. one is 6'6" and the other is the 7'6" rod. I would like to buy 2 more rod and reel combos.
I ahve twin Canon Electric down riggers and dual side planers. What would be the most beneficial rod n rell combos for me to putchase. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Getting ready to outfit my new to me Starcraft Islander 221v. It came with an older Eagle fishfinder which I would like to replace. I am a Humminbird electronics fan.
Lake O will not be my primary waterbody but hope to get there a couple times a year. Must haves are high resolution or "HD"..a good GPS and map base. I would like to be able to add navionics maps and updates etc. The 5" screen is fine for me. I dont think I really care about the Down Imaging or side imaging..
Any thoughts suggestions or recomendations on what you have would be appreciated. My budget is well under $1,000
well, I am definatly getting a second prop to leave in the boat that is for sure. I guess I will have to wait till spring when I get her out to check the RPMs
I need to pick up a second prop for my 1991 221V Islander. She has the 4.3L V6 in her. The prop on her right now has a few dings in it and I cant seem to find any numbers on it. She seems to run ok, gets up on plane. Would like that to be alitle faster if possible..Any idea what the standard pitch would be for my rig? Should I consider a 4 blade prop since I have to get one anyways? I will only get aluminum
I need to look into some lightening for the back interior of my 91 221V Islander. Curious to know what others have used. Was thinking about the LED rope style lighting, but dont know how they work. seems like they would be ideal.
Does everyone fill up their block with RV/Marine antifreeze and leave the antifreeze in it or simply flush it out real good. I pour the antifreeze down by two top front hoses and it goes out all the holes (4) and then the lower unit. I didnt leave it full of antifreeze.
also, Curro, hope that when you fogged the engine you didnt hook it up to the muffs since you had already drained the block and added the antifreeze!
Curious to know who empties their fuel tanks and who fills them right up before winterization. I ahvent decided yet, I do know the Marine Stabil will be in it though!
I ahve a 1991 4.3 L VC Mercruiser in my 221V islander. First year Iwill be winterizing/changine oil. Anyone know the #'s for the oil filter and fuel filter??
