  1. Launched from Geneva trolled around the north end trying all different depths managed one average LL. Packed up and ran down to Kashong picked up a laker from down there. Very slow morning water was 66 on the surface. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  3. Landlocks were hitting the dipsy with flt Bubblegum and 45' rigger with a greenish blue spoon name I can't remember. We marked a lot of bait and fish but had to work hard to get anything to hit. Had one LL hit while putting the rigger down. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. My dad and I went out this morning. Launched from Roy's around six and headed to Kashong. Picked up a few landlocks and a small laker. Decided to pick up and make the move to the north end for the last hour. Got up there set the lines trolled around with nothing hitting we were just about ready to pick up when the 65' rigger doubled over and started peeling line. I grabbed the rod and had a great battle got it to the boat and dad did a great job netting it. All fish were released and ready to be caught again. Finger lakes tackle did all the work today. Lake was 59. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. We have been doing ok at the north end trolling. Went 6 for 8 Saturday 5 lakers 1 small LL. Tried the deep program. Today got into the browns well went 7 for 10 in shallow. 5 browns 2 lakers. Lost two good fish and one on an off real quick. Haven't found the board worthy ones yet but all decent fish. Pictures are of two 6# browns that are on the smoker now. 7. Has anyone been out at the north end of seneca lately? Going to get out Monday and was looking for some reports. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. We did well on the west side yesterday too. Picked up a couple landlocks and a mid sized brown. Ventured to the east side and found too much debris to be able to keep a pole in the water. Morning bite was great didn't have hit after 9:00am though. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. What are your thoughts on lure color or presentation in muddy water conditions like we will have this weekend? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  15. Stopped by Roy's this afternoon it was ice free but Larry said there was a thin coat in there this morning that the first boat out broke through. The launch needs to be dredged out but most people have been able to just drive out on the gravel and launch from there. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  16. The Geneva launch is frozen this morning not sure about Roy's but I will check it this afternoon. I am planning on going out Saturday too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. They also just started carrying 91 non ethanol at gulf in Penn Yan. It's the one on the corner of 14A and North ave near to the hospital. As of posting this it's $4.18 a gallon.
  19. I also saw the 12.52 in the cooler this morning.
  20. So get a couple nice lakers in the boat over 8# just went to weigh in at Geneva only to find they have no power and the scales are down! Why would they rely on a solar and wind power setup for this. Really seems like they were lost on how to solve the problem. So back out fishing we go with a couple decent fish that havnt been weighed in. This whole tournment could use some help.
  21. We found the exact same thing. We caught a lot of fish three over 8lbs, awesome morning. Green hitechs and finger lakes spoons were on fire. 85-100 feet down over 120 was the sweet spot. Fished the north end, west side. Marked a lot of fish in shallow but couldn't get anything to hit in there. Moved out deep and it was on.
  22. Fished north out of Severne today caught a 4lb brown real early on top before we even had everything set up. That had me thinking it might be a great day but then it was dead rest of the day. We called it quits around 11:30 after not marking any fish or bait to really speak of. Might have to try the north end next time out.
  23. Lakes Gas in Penn Yan (down near McDonalds) has 89 non-ethanol with a sign out front that reads "your boat will love you for it" I have used 87 and 89 with ethanol and noticed a huge difference when switching to the 89 non-ethanol. The motor idles & trolls a lot smoother also has more punch to it. Found this on another website might help a little; Ethanol absorbs water from the atmosphere. Fuel with 10 percent ethanol absorbs up to 50 times more water than standard gasoline. Gas tanks that vent to the atmosphere increase the likelihood that moisture will be absorbed into the gas tank. When water gets into the fuel it separates into two distinct layers: a thick layer of gasoline mixed with a little ethanol on top, and a thinner layer on the bottom consisting of water mixed with most of the ethanol. And it doesn’t take much water for this to happen—phase separation occurs in a gallon of 10 percent ethanol blend with just 3.8 teaspoons of water.
  24. Thanks for the tips guys! We left out of Watkins right around 6am on Sunday, set up just outside of the break wall Trolled over toward the salt plant started hitting them pretty good about 40-60' down over 100-130. Picked up some decent browns on that side when all of a sudden the dipsey rod started peeling line like crazy. My buddy grabs it and immediately says its a nice fish, got it to the boat and it was a solid 7lb laker. Fished for about another hour on the west side not catching anything else so we moved to the east side and trolled back and forth from the falls south a little ways picking up some nice landlocks and another decent laker. Rapalas and Finger Lakes Tackle took everything.
  25. I am planning on heading out Sunday I typically fish the North end of Seneca however I started fishing out of Severne this spring and am enjoying it. I have been reading all of the these great stories about nice browns and LL from everyone fishing out of Watkins. So my question is what are some tips for the south end? I have riggers, dipseys, and planners. Any info is greatly appreciated.
