  9. Hi, The name is Dick Black, just upgraded today. Have been on the site for a year now and have really enjoyed it. I'm located in the central finger lakes area and also fish Lake Ontario. I am in my mid 60s so I've seen alot of changes to our sport, I think this web site is a good one. Looking forward to another great year with you all. Blacky
  10. B-256--- After 50 yrs of deer hunting please take a little advise, if you've got a good scrape line, get down wind, between the feeding area and beding area, perferably, in a funnel area, and kill that buck! The more time you spend in that area, the greater chance you have bumping that buck out of the area. Bottom line advise--- HUNT HIM--KILL HIM-- or-- LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Today, I sent the website the $20 to join because I want to see it continue. I know it costs alot nof money to operate this site and I want it to continue. Will try to abide by the rules and be a good member. Thanks to all. Blacky
  12. Well guys, I haved lived on and fished Seneca all my life and I'll be glad to tell you why we keep the perch fishing a secret. I've seen many times where outsiders come here and take perch by the bushel basket full just to go and sell them to a fish market or local restaurant. Bag limits mean nothing to these people!!! Game wardens almost don't exist around here, I have not seen one in a couple of years or more. This is a very delicate fishery and it takes a long time to grow a 2lb. perch. Ican't blame people for being a little pissed off about not being able to get a little friendly info, but when the same boat anchors in front of my house for 9-10 hrs a day for 4 days straight and fills 3 100qt coolers, that is going just to far. I met these guys at Sampson State Park and expressed my opinion of them, they told they didn't care about the 50 fish limit and to go F off. Game warden didn't seem to care either. This happens all over the lake and its not right, I enjoy seeing fishermen from all over coming to Seneca, but there is a small group that has the locals riled up, sorry we are like that, but how would you like it if I traveled to your local lake and had no regard for the law or the local people that live here.
  13. looking for a good used BUNK TYPE boat trailer for a 19.5 ft sea nymph
  14. Pete, I am a professional driver and move heavy equipment for a living. I own many trailers, from little utility models to 4 axle 100 ton lowboys and I am ANAL about tire wear. Check your axle for any loose bolts, nuts, or pins. Look and see if any of the attached parts have moved ever so much. Check tire inflation, very important. If the tires are worn badly they will have to be replaced. Do yourself a favor and don't buy cheap tires! Go to a good dealer and pucchase the best TRAILER tire you can afford and have them balanced!!! I know some people will laugh at this, but pay attention to other trailers on the highway and watch the tires and you will see alot of them bouncing and banging the road, hard on the tires and bearings! not good. I don't remember where Portageville is but if your anywhere near Rochester, get that trailer into Hawk frame and Axle or a good frame and axle shop near you. These places have the ability to bend and straiten any axle and laser align your trailer and its not really all that expensive, they can make your tires last for years!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!
  15. fishless, thanks for the come back, would you have any information on the unit? i would install one on this boat, instead of the expense of a auto-pilot, any info would help. D.Black
  16. a company by the name of KING manufactured a unit that installed on the steering shaft under the steering wheel, i had one on a pen yann that i owned back in the 80s. basically it just kept the boat moving in a straight line long enough for you to set some lines or get a fish in the boat. it certainly wasn't ment to be used as a auto-pilot or to navigate with, but was really handy at times. I am going to reasearch this and see if this is still made,
  17. the hoses are probley adheared to the flotation material, I just did my 195 and could not get the hoses to budge, i used plugs to plug the inlets and let it go at that, just wasn't worth the problems. last year i did the same job on a different boat and the hoses had been wrapped in some sort of paper from the factory. was able to connect new hoses to the old ones via a hose coupling and clamps and pull the new hoses thru, it was quite a job but i made it work. not so lucky on my own, good luck
  18. put them on craigs list, get what you can get for them. Don't trust under sized, used batteries in your boat, they weren't designed for marine use.
