  1. Question - I have Stingers, DW SS and BF spoons, are the trebles that come with them what everyone runs or should they be swapped out with single hooks? I heard single hooks improve the action. I am new still trying to figure it out. Not able to catch too much on spoons and I want to know if this might be something I need to change. Thanks!
  2. Just placed an order myself this morning, can't wait to use them
  3. I was looking to possibly order some of these spoons. Any suggestions for the top 5 colors? I see King of Sting being number 1. What size too, Magnum?
  4. Do fleas last all season? I assume this line is the only thing that works?
  5. What temp am I looking for when targeting kings?
  6. I just looked at the Fish Hawk model, looks like my best option, thanks!
  7. is there any devices out there that are inexpensive to purchase to measure temps down where your riggers are running? i know people run probes hooked up to the fish finder just wondering if there is something that works well that can be lowered with the rigger and brought back up to find the right temps. appreciate any feedback tom
  8. Tim- What ss rings do you use? We caught a 12 lb brown earlier in the season that opened up one of the split rings. So it makes sense to change them out. Thanks Tom
  9. When trolling Smithwicks for browns, is there better action tying to the split ring or direct to the nose of the lure? Not sure if it matters or not. Thanks in advance Tom
  10. Do you run the mtn dew in white or chrome?
  11. Seems like that color does well, my question though is there conditions where that color will be better than the others?
  12. I'm new to the site and I have read a lot but did not see much ddiscussions that talked about what color spin doctors do better than others for different weather or water conditions. When is it best to use the chrome spin doctors versus the white ones? I have read enough about what colors are productive but just wondering if there were any tips about certain ones that are good for cloudy or early morning or sunny conditions. Any help is appreciated Thanks Tom
  13. great video, perfect for someone like me that is getting started, couple questions: 1. what line do you use for the leader? 2. what is the leader length? 3. can you set up the rig running behind the boat if you don't have an otter? please post any other videos like this one, awesome info thanks
  14. I want to start using a spin doctor/ fly set up on a couple rods, what good combinations can anyone suggest that I can start out with? Any help is appreciated
  15. you're probably right, we tried trolling at speeds 2.1-2.3, then bumped up to 2.6, i kept trying different colors, probably should have kept the orange and frog going like my gut was telling me, oh well. so many fish being marked in 20' and up but also 40-60', i feel confused on what depth i should be targeting some times. thanks for the tips
