Oh alright. I Google searched them and the link that came up freak bucks with 300+" bucks. Must be a different outfitter.

It was 3:30 pm on my way over to the property Dad and I hunt and it was 68 degrees, I definitely didn't expect to see much. I hung this stand in early July between 2 fields. One with soy beans and the other with corn. Tonight was my first sit of the season so I was just looking forward to seeing anything. By 5 o'clock I had a small 6 point and 2 doe, both with twins that all fed through the acorns behind me and out into the bean field. I watched the 4 fawns run and jump around for over a half hour...I was perfectly content on ending my night after that once it got dark. Around 6:15 through all of the rustling leaves from the squirrels and chipmunks, I heard a small twig snap. I slowly turned my head and just saw a massive body. Hoping everything would work out and he would take the same path as the other deer, I grabbed my bow and never looked back again. After what seemed like a half hour but was only about 5 minutes, the buck was quartering away from me into the beans at 30 yards. I only looked at his horns once. I saw he had 5 on his left side. I also saw a really nice, tall 8 point behind him. When I released the arrow I knew I hit him good but he never ran. The bucks body stiffened up and he was leaning to one side as he slowly took a few steps. That's when I saw something I never expected. The tall 8 point circled around and charged the buck I shot, with his head down and drove him right into the dirt and then ran off. This is my biggest buck with a bow or gun. Dad and I are in an archery contest so we brought the deer to weigh it. It dressed out at an even 200lbs, with a 19 3/4" inside spread. It's after midnight and I have to wake up at 4:45 am for work and I'm wide awake! Thanks for reading my story! -Chris Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Easter Sunday on the Yankee
CVO replied to Yankee Troller's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
Did you guys head east or west out of the river? We went east on friday and it was tough to find good water. All the fish in your pics look clean too, the 2 we boated and 3 that we lost at the boat were all marked up from lampreys. Looking forward to all of your reports again this season. Today was my daughter's 6th birthday and the only thing she wanted to do was fish, I couldn't be happier. The sound of feet on my bedroom floor woke me up at 430am and off we went to pick up my father, or Lexi's "Papa." We were greeted at the Genny launch to new docks and really low water at 645am. We could have used a parachute to drop into the boat (18' Lund.) We hung a right out of the chute and ran a few miles east and the first lines of the season were in just before ship builders in 12 FOW. I ran 3 smithwicks off one board 2 gold/silver with a red head and a goby colored one. On the port side board went 3 natural colored, jointed rapalas. Both riggers had chicken wing spoons, 1 down 4' and back 50 and the other one down 7 and back 30'. We never made it down to webster. We concentrated on a half mile either side of ship builders till noon. We (she) boated 2 beautiful Browns in the first hour and lost another 5. Lost a few lures to the bottom and answered 750 questions about the outdoors. Just the perfect day. She has been out with us since she was a baby but today I could tell she was really into it and hooked for good now...until she's a teenager at least. My dad still doesn't know how to take pictures with his phone.... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
