  2. My brother found this deer yesterday and we figure it was from Sunday when there was a big deer drive on adjoining property and plenty of shooting. Makes you a little sick.

That’s all deer drives are is shoot at a bounding deer .... don’t happen here

  3. Back in overwatch. Same field as yesterday afternoon just a bit closer to where I saw deer enter the field but with this wind I am still not as close as I'd like to be.
The afternoon winds as supposed to get out of hand here. 20 sustained and 35+ gusts. Not too bad right now though.

  5. Or crossbow

There is no crossbow privileges, muzzle loader only , which Allows you to use the crossbow only if you have filled out and carry with you the Crossbow Certificate of Qualification on page 23 of the 2019-2020 regulatory guide . And yes you can use Regular season buck tag so technically you can tag two bucks , I’m trying to after not killing one yet ...hope this helps clear it up ?Goodluck Boys and Girls IMG_4723.JPG

  7. Was planning on taking a doe for a buddy at work. Tommy still has a couple doe tags. I won’t be taking a doe lol.
There are a couple other good bucks coming around including one Tommy told me not to shoot. Hope he doesn’t come around.
This is the one I can’t shoot. IMG_0490.thumb.JPG.96d2ac215f85224d3d41750501a25fdb.JPG

  8. Couldn't resist taking a doe tonight, freezer is empty and have had zero buck action for to long. The wet spring kept me from getting good food in the ground. Was great because I couldn't resist packing up, walking all the way back to the truck, and driving home to get my 4 year so he could track his first deer. Blood hound already, even though he almost literally stepped on her before he saw her because he was so focused on following blood ! Great Moments for sure!20191207_175050.thumb.jpeg.b06ede0c73a8f14d2786e0db33c41720.jpeg20191207_175149.thumb.jpeg.5325a50e42621e66d259305cca9fb6e7.jpeg

  9. Ended up hunting the tower blind with Brian this morning due to the high winds, and couldn't resist a 100 yd plus shot on a small eight that was the only deer we saw. Funny thing is, I've had him under my stands multiple times this year and not blinked, and I probably wouldn't have shot him this morning if I'd been alone, but the situation was such that it was a memorable shot and I didn't think twice about it. Sometimes, it's about more than bone. Neck shot, dropped him in his tracks, and Scotty was glad to lend the ATV, as it meant getting away from Mickey and Minnie...I guess they small tower had some mice that wanted to cozy up to him. You know how he is with snakes? Turns out mice aren't his favorite either .

    Nice !!!!!!
