Big guys are tending does while the little guys cruise the edges looking for a sniff. If you're quick about it, you can jump on when they pass unsuspecting under your stand.

  2. Congratulations to all with your recent harvest. Got my opportunity yesterday while leaving my hunting spot. Spotted a buck that had a doe pinned down in the golden rod while walking out. Put the wind in my favor and started the stalk. While crawling on my belly I would stop every few yards to check his location. 150 yards and one hour later I put an arrow in the sweet spot. Not my biggest but Definitely my most deserving and hardest earned deer!! 62707142497__0046D515-0646-4622-BDBF-01AC6A4F9B3F.thumb.JPG.e875d44cc53e0ee7440922eae7a9ee6c.JPGIMG_3356.thumb.JPG.f5935ec27685f5c3b6a99bbd01e14822.JPG

  4. 2020 Rescue Buck, yes Rescue Buck. After having an amazing season and passing every 2.5 year old in the woods and some close calls with some Big ones I had my #1 Hit List Buck 70 yards from my stand today on a Doe. Well after watching them for an hour and not being able to call to them due to 2 smaller Bucks bedding closer to me, they moved on. As the morning went on I had some decent 2.5 year olds come through and a few Does. At 11am I see this Buck come from my thick side and on a direct line right behind my tree. He was a good Buck with 75% of an arrow sticking out above his back leg. I knew he was mature and the injury at the hands of another sealed the deal. Shot him at 10 yards and he only went 30. Stood there for a minute and crashed to the ground dead. I am Happy with him especially because of the Injury. That arrow was through his back and down through and out of his stomach just grazing his gut. I know good hunters can make bad shots but it wasn't fun to see. Happy he had a quick death instead of suffering. My Boy Aiden is holding him! 5. Thanks guys! Deffinitely a lot pf time thinking about his bedding. Staying out of the property till he felt comfortable enough to come out in the daylight. Hunted food plot this morn only saw a spike. So got down to a pinch point to eat lunch. 5 minutes later he comes walking by! Put my lunch down and grabbed my bow as I was on the ground. So waited till he was behind a. Tree drew and stopped him in an 18yd opening with not a twig between us! Got to get an exact tape but we rough scored him over 170 [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] got to wait the drying period now! 45267.thumb.jpeg.a23513b84b9b32c5eb6a781321af878e.jpeg45265.thumb.jpeg.10ae6dda5b12a7da446d4fd6137c49bf.jpeg1104201239a.thumb.jpeg.34d78e4157a166bec13548cceaa01796.jpeg45273.thumb.jpeg.1f2f06cebdce4a52815019775510b018.jpeg

  8. I'd be out tonight, but my dog Finnegan must have gotten into something on a walk yesterday, and he's swollen with hives today. If Benadryl can't control it, we may have to do a steroid injection. So I'm puppy-sitting.
