Nice otisco eyes!! Got out this evening for about 90 mins at oneida. Got 3 (1 short) in the first 40 mins then nothing for the rest of the time. Fish continuing to fight hard! It was nice to Be out with warmer temps.

Yeah go right up to Bridgeport I fish near chapman park and also come from work in east syracuse it's a quick trip.

Pro fish - u fish north or south shore? I stay on south shore usually over in lakeport and haven't gotten up to like 10, just the flurry at dusk.

I don't troll, I use the short ones I'm just lookin for my limit. The fish they are filled with are small. Even if you catch a big oneida fish it's like a regular otisco fish so I figure if I want to go after some big fish I'll just go there.

Went up to Oneida to see how things were going. Got there at 5 and caught 2 fish right as the sun was going down 5:22 and 5:27. They smashed the lure and fought like smallies. It was nice to get that at Oneida, usually they're like reeling in a lump of weeds. Stomachs were full of minnows when I cleaned them. If anyone can get out of the woods, the dusk bite is pretty hot up there.

Congrats on the doe!

Anybody been getting out over the last week or so? I figure either the fishing is really good, or everyone is hunting. I went out twice to the park last week and got skunked both times. Both nights winds were around 15mph and it was rainy and COLD. I have been having a rough go of it at Otisco so went up to Oneida last night. Both fillets off of an Oneida walleye are maybe the same as half of an Otisco eye! It was nice to catch fish, and the fish were pretty aggressive for about 15 minutes at dusk. I had been hearing a lot of good reports as Oneida seems to be really heating up right now.

Got out today for a couple hours of shore fishing with a mallow and worm. Had a nice chop to the water and got one fish. A nice relaxing day on the lake. Had to keep him cuz he swallowed the hook.

Was out tonight from 7-930 fishing over by the restaurant and at the park. Thought conditions looked good - chop on water and some rain but no fish. Lost an f18 as well. Similar result Thursday night as well. Frustrating few days for me out here. Hopefully with these upcoming cold nights things will improve.

Good to hear I'm off tomorrow so putting in some work tonight on the lake!

I would not be surprised if there was a record in there right now. Certainly a NY record. I know of a confirmed 48 caught and a larger fish seen in 9 mile creek this year. Seen multiple over 40 caught. If there are some that big in the creek there has to be same or larger in the lake!
