sounds like quite a christmas feast -
I went out Sunday night to try at dusk. Went from 330-530 no bites. Water was high and snapped a couple lures off. Still mostly ice at the dam and the pond side of causeway so hopeful some safe ice soon!

Went out for a few hours this morning from shore with a couple marshmallow / worm rigs and also perch minnows out. Got one nice 25" rainbow and another that got off as well as a 12" perch.

Hey anyone know about the ice situation on Otisco? I had heard it was locked up at the dam. Since it is going to be so nice Saturday I was thinking about doing some shore casting down by the causeway, anyone know about the ice? Would like to save myself a trip if I won't be able to access. Thanks!

Hey - I usually do the mallow worm fishing at a friends camp. Just wondering how the action is out of the village, taking some kids for work this weekend and would like to save a lot of time by not having to drive down to Lourdes. Any insight is helpful - thanks!

Opening weekend has been slow for me in the woods, got out tonight for an hour up at O shores. 3 pickerel and one walleye before I went home for dinner.

Some of you sound ridiculous. Insinuating that someone doesn't love or care for their pet because they allow it to run off leash? I encounter many people who love their dogs as I do and we allow them to run off leash. If dogs are not supposed to be on someone's property that's one thing and that needs to be conveyed to the owner of the dogs and given a chance to remedy the situation. Scum bag status to anyone who shoots someone's pet unless in self defense. -

I can't believe anyone would consider shooting someone's dog. That's part of the family, would you shoot their kids for disrupting your hunt as well??

My buddy and I each got one tonight on the south shore. Mine went 4.5lbs which was nice for oneida. Weather was nice not too cold or windy contrary to the forecast I saw.

Went out Sunday night for about an hour to the shores ramp and got 1 eye and some pickerels. Not bad for a quick trip, hoping to get out tonight for a little longer we will see.

I'll add a report for the north end of skaneateles where that wind helped out the shore fishing marshmallow and worm combo! Fished from 11-230 today And my friend and I caught 4 rainbows along with 2 that got sinkers caught in the rocks and snapped off. Kept some for the table today. -
This guy told me over there last week that they keep the gates open after nov 1 at night. I have been earlier in the fall and the gates were closed

The short one was like 10 inches it was pretty cool. Looked like it belonged in an aquarium

That's a good question big dave I may have to try some. I would imagine it would reduce that happening.
