  1. mature kings (3 and 4 year olds) that will run the streams this year
  2. Jig stick- hopefully others that were out today chime in- there were many- if I don't find the temp break that I did it would have been a long morning. So on fire- I wouldn't say that but I am curious as to how others did- I would never tell anyone to make the trip from Pittsburgh- you just never know with this lake but I will say this- plenty more majors around than last year. Manage to get at least one major damn near every trip out this year
  3. Almost forgot- fleas made an appearance today on my braid - not bad just at the knots but they have arrived
  4. Set up in 150' off Wilson heading North-took a decent King in 180' on a blue/green stinger free slider set 66' down. Worked out to 400' with nothing to show. Spun around and headed towards microwave- found a decent temp break in 325'- 78'and 88' riggers took 5 kings in 5 passes, then we lost the break and could not find it again- spoon bite - NBK and warrior black/pearl took all. Managed one more King off Wilson in 290' while heading back in-NBK- 88 down to end the day at noon- all fished released to fight another day. It was just my dad and I and we had a blast-back at it in the AM. First time out in 3 weeks- so nice to have every fish screaming drag!!
  5. Ton of squirrels on the property- for now- Just read they are mean SOB's on DEC website-Pic is from Eden in Erie county
  6. Switched cards out this morning and got this picture- not the best but- anyone- is that a fisher? I've never seen one before
  7. Well good luck at the cape and thanks for sharing - I will post when I get out- safe travels
  8. Laurie B- thanks for the reports- work has got me on the road a ton and I haven't fished in 2 weeks- weekend marine forecast looking ugly -look forward to reading a Wilson report at the end of each day- Good fishing!
  9. . Maybe these? common in ponds
  10. Thank You-once I read it I took a second and thought better of responding -
  11. Found some steelhead out in 340' water to salvage the day- 3 color with a blue/gold thunderstick. Ended the day with 3 steelie 1 decent king and a skipper- lost a decent fish -took a bunch of shots on sliders in 195' but none stayed buttoned up. Will give it a shot in the morning for a bit. Walleye time is here for me also King Slammin- To all the veterans out there- God bless and thank you for your service -
  12. Tough fishing so far- tons of bait- 1/3 so far anyone having better luck
  13. I ran 2 rods with inlines looking for some coho for the freezer and I couldn't catch any- drop your riggers down deep- good luck
  14. King me- 105' right on the bottom - pulling rods soon- half the crew is going walleye fishing tonight on Erie-
  15. I just got out- took a king almost immediately - 75 down over 115- NBK- mid teens-west of the red barn
  16. thank you for the response- I will give that a try and see if it works
  17. I hope it's a easy fix- going to pick up suppressor plugs regardless of the problem- the power cord will be where I start- def near other wires- thanks again for your thoughts
  18. Thanks SK8man- I will check the wires when I get back to Wilson where the boat is-It's the same exact transducer shape- the more I google the issue the more possibilities pop up. I am reading that RPM interference shows up as vertical lines in this unit as I stated I'm having. I'm working in NYC this week and have a lot of hotel time so hopefully I can pin this down some online and maybe a call to lowrance
  19. now that I sit here thinking about it again- when it starts to get bumpy my RPM goes up some to compensate - any help appreciated-
  20. I have a issue with my HDS with "interference" on the screen but only when it gets a little bumpy out. When it's dead calm it runs perfect. It stops marking my deepest downrigger also - if not both when this happens. By interference I mean vertical lines from top to bottom on the screen. It happens in auto or in manual mode where I can control sensitivity, ping speed and color line. I have a Starcraft islander and I installed it last year. I put the transducer in the same spot that my last lowrance transducer was. Transducer location ? My settings seems to be spot on. Any suggestions appreciated before I start drilling needless holes- Thanks
