  1. The weather leading up to the weekend and the weekends weather is looking like tiger weather! Could use a little more wind, but I'll take it! Look forward to seeing everyone. Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Thank you for the report Justin Sent from my SM-G930V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. Some very large fish have been caught around those islands this time of year. Look for round rock broken up with sand/ dark bottom. If you can find any green vegetation in that scenario, that is money also. Bright colored jerkbaits worked well. The longer the pause, the better. 4. No doubt. After reading everyone's thoughts and opinions, it is clear that this is a mess. Leave it alone and fish. I see participation and lack of interest going down hill fast if rules were to be changed in such a way within our tournament structure. There is a reason MI and the PMTT uses this format. Everyone who fishes muskies deals with undersized fish almost every time they go out when they are on fish. There are tactics you can do and baits you can use to stay away from smaller fish, but it just happens. In the fall, it's not uncommon for me to see 30"ers come on 14" baits. On a side note, it is without a doubt way harder on a larger fish to revive than a smaller fish. None of the tournaments are in the heat of summer, so I see no reason to change a thing. 12. I may consider it one of these years. Usually I'm on ice here in the Adirondacks until mid April, but no even close this season. I actually made it out in the boat on Otisco before the season closed March 15th! I did some work out by Pymatuning last spring. It's only a 6 hour haul for me, not bad. Looking forward to seeing more pictures to keep my mind busy while I wait!
  13. Those kind of days are always nice. Great job.
  14. On a side note, the walleye I caught depicted in the original post of this thread was caught in the south pond and was headed toward the inlet, and was full of eggs. I'm sure there is some natural reproduction, even though the alewives take out many of the eggs.
  15. Off the bow, never thought of that. Thanks for clearing that up!
  16. How would the wind sock work when a big old muskie makes a dash through it?
  17. Awesome! To bad I'm back to work tmrw! Good luck guys.
  18. How big is your motor? Put a trolling plate on if you don't want to spend that kind if money.
  19. Traveled south to get the boat out. Planned on casting for tigers, but the remaining ice kept us from getting on to the main lake. I still casted all day on the south end, and marked fish, but it was tough. The water visibility is only a few inches in that area. Managed one walleye, 25" 6lbs 8oz.
  20. If it's clear water you are fishing up there, I would run flourocarbon leaders. Marabou bucktails, spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, jig and plastics all work well.
