  1. Disregard, they answered on the 31st call. Maybe he saw my post on this forum lol
  2. Has anyone had any recent experience with Depth Raider support? I replaced a probe over the winter that was lost on one of my final 2021 outings and first time out this year it's not working. I take the battery out and it's pretty warm telling me something is shorting internally. I have called support (262) 534-2202) no less than 30 times and left at least 5 voice mails and several emails describing my issue and begged for a return phone call. I have not gotten any response from them. Just wondering if the contact info has changed or if anyone has actually talked to them recently. Any help is appreciated!
  3. Any purple spoon you have will catch Lakers. Bloody Death is always a hot spoon for us!
  4. I don't normally post a whole lot, but figured with the poor fishing lately it would be nice to share a great night out of Wilson. Started setting rods at 6:30 PM in 245 fow about 3 miles west of port and headed east. Found 52 degrees at 80 fow along with some decent marks. 5 minutes later the dipsey with wonder bread MC Rocket set 300 out on a 3 setting goes off. Grabbed the pole but nobody was home. Only hit on meat. A few minutes goes by and the 70 rigger fires on frost bite spoon. 12# steel head hits the deck. Few minutes later 80 rigger goes off on glow frog spoon and a nice 20 pound king is netted. Had a white/green dot spinny with Pro-Am fly take several fish as well. Sun starts to drop and we switch over to Carbon 14 that always works for us late. Definitely didn't let us down as it took 4 more fish the last 30 minutes. In all went 14 for 17. Mostly kings with a few steel head and cohos mixed in. Enjoy! Sent from my SM-A115AZ using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Hey, has anyone ordered anything online from ASB tackle in Newfane recently? I placed an online order back in the middle of April for a slide diver and custom painted Spin Dr. My debit card was charged $54.00 and that's the last I've heard from them. Two and a half months have passed and 4 emails to him with no response. His number has been disconnected and when I peeked in the store window the other day all the shelves were empty. I know last year he mentioned he was going to online exclusively which explains the number disconnected and store front gone. Has this guy completely gone out of business and taking people's money without fulfilling orders or refunding debit cards? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727AZ using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Hi folks, Looking to buy a 19-21 foot aluminum boat for a refurbish project. Preferably the boat will have as little as possible meaning no motor or controls as I would like to add newer/reliable mechanics as I build it out. My goal is to strip the boat down and repaint and add mechanics and flooring/carpet as I go. This is going to be a Lake Erie walleye boat so looking for wide flat gunwales I can mount a track system to. If the boat still has motor/mechanics, flooring, etc. I am still interested depending on the cost.
  11. Yes the round shaft. Over the weekend I used a pair of needle nose to clear fleas as my screw driver was left at home. Anything smooth metal you can run up and down the wire will clear them. Unfortunately, I don't have a method for mono other than pick them off.
  12. A great way to remove fleas off of wire if you don't already know this trick is to run the smooth part of a screw driver back and forth on the wire. You can clear a 3 foot section of wire in less than 5 seconds. No need to "pick" them off.
  13. These two photos I took on 6/23/18 on Lake Nipissing, Ontario
  14. Hey folks, I'm in the market for a new Auto Pilot for my 24' Wellcraft. Pretty sure I have a hydraulic system but cannot verify until I pull the shrink wrap off it later this week. Anyway, looking for thoughts good and bad of what is out there and what guys have had success with. My initial findings are the Ray Marine Evolution series, but want to hear what people think before plunking down $2,000. I also have a Lowrance HDS 7 Gen2 I wouldn't mind integrating if possible. Thanks, Tony
  15. Thanks guys! ! This definitely gives me a great starting point!
  16. Thanks guys! The new boat isn't really conducive to adding two more riggers and the experience I've had with inline planers was a P.I.T.A in my opinion. So my original thought of running bigger boards off reals looks to be my best option. I can always try the extra dipsy for no cost and see if tangling becomes an issue. My assumption is you would run one on a 1 setting and the other on a 3?
  17. Could I run two Dipsy's on one side without worry of tangle? Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. Labor Day weekend I upgraded my 17' open bow Se Ray to a 24' Wellcraft cabin cruiser. The past 2 seasons on the 17' I used (2) Cannon 5ST's and (2) Dipsey poles off of Ratcheting rod holders. With the newer/bigger boat I was hoping to increase my spread by at least two more poles and was wondering what you guys think would be the best option. Considerations at this point are planer reels mounted to my side rails for running copper/lead core. Any suggestions on adding two more poles would be appreciated. Thanks! !
  19. Heart breaking night for me. Had the finances all set and ready to go just one last step to have my mechanic check it out. Almost instantly he noticed the block was cracked in 3 places. Deal breaker for sure. Back on line now looking for the next one. Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Thanks as always for all the replies. I know Bayliner got a bad wrap back in the day and they are still the lower end boats these days but I hear they have improved dramatically and have gone with merc now as opposed to the old volvo. Any thoughts on a 2004 Bayliner? Sent from my SM-G920V using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Hey guys, After 3 seasons on Ontario with our 17 foot Sea Ray that was bought with the intentions of playing around in the upper river with the family has turned into a run-about turned troller boat. Well it's time for me to upgrade, but the dilemma I face is how big to go and still be able to trailer with my 2014 Silverado and launch with my 12 year old son. I launch quite a bit out of the Fort and Wilson and I see some pretty sizable boats and think "well that guy can do it". Took the family out the other day to some marinas and looked at some boats I saw on-line and to be honest they looked WAY bigger in person. I love the idea of a 25' cabin cruiser, but not sure how something like that is going to trailer and launch. The length doesn't bother me half as much as the seemingly 3 story height and what does that translate into weight? Looking for something around 24-25' and cuddy is a must with more of a cruiser feel to it then fishing boat to keep the wife happy. She likes the idea of being able to entertain and have some seats toward the back so I'm looking at turning something like a Sea Ray Sundancer into a trolling boat. Any thoughts on what can easily be handled size wise for trailering and launching would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony
  22. I'm not sure. I'll have to look when I get home. Is there a physical difference or just firmware changes?
  23. Here's the video of the Laker that U turned last second and became fin caught... Again, sorry for the degradation of quality when uploading to Youtube. The original footage is so much clearer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ027-B7vCA
