Just drove by cranberry pond , 1 guy out there and far out to. Not sure how good the ice could be but u have to walk off and it's still above freezing. For sure , never seen the weather like this

Did a crow hunt at the same spot , not a good wind direction for that spot but we did ok for the weather and the amount of birds flying ! still fun ! I think we got 25 or so with some cripples.

Got on honeoye south end , counted 70 plus people. 3in of ice . When I left I hit the ice with my Spud hard and thru like a hot knife , I did a couple steps and a lighter hit and it made it thru . I turned to the people by me and said u all saw that . Have a good day !!!
Not good at all for tomorrow don't chance it ! Look at the ice in the picture bubbles and 45 and sunny out not good , then rain coming .. Horrible.

Hit Braddock's 2 for 3 . Lost a decent fish on the hook set , felt it pull out. What a nice day and finally on some ice !! Didn't measure the ice but i would say 4 to 5in by the docks.

We'll i told the wife I need a new battery for the vex and took a ride to runnings. 22 dollars [emoji106]. Was looking at new 1s and broke out $450 . She said nice now I can have the old 1.... Yes u can cuz I can't stand when u use mine when we go . Lol worked out for the both of us !!!

Wow sounds like fun!! Better than me just grabbed the vex turned it on and no go . Only runs when it's on the charger. Battery is good . All my connections I cleaned and rewired if needed and still no go. I'm just going to go buy a new one.

You'll notice that I said "hang them upside down. A farmer that lived near me as a kid did it and the crows avoided our area afterward  as some of the neighbors did it as well.

Or on the other and if you want to discourage them from hanging around shoot one and hang it upside from a tree. You won't see any around for a long time[emoji2]

What do you do with a pile of crows like that I bet the rappers and coyote shooters would like to have a pile of them.

We and my buddy went back to the same spot as yesterday ! Just as good if not better . Put down 87 crows. We both ran out of ammo !!!

With no ice or ducks to chase , found a good crow feed me and a buddy set on it this morning . We put out about 2 dozen decoys and the caller , didn't even hide just sat there . Shot 72

Finished the season with a limit of mallards at the farm pond. Not a bad season . Now we know what we are in for the next 4years. Nice hunt royboys! Misdemeanor good job on the reds this year must have been tough for u ? I don't see a 10th of the divers as normal this year.

Tried to get target practice yesterday on the lake but them divers are non-existent for the most part. We only got 1 Whistler. No dam weather this year for them horrible.

Hunted a little hole this morning, 2 pairs of mallards came in first thing done at 719. What a spot to hunt for 9 min lol .

I was just saying how the little ducks were gone, but today we found some stragglers. Had a 3pack of teal come by that got folded. Some mallard action nothing heavy but enough to make a good morning.

Yeah I have been staying on them mallards for the most part . Limits are horrible.
Season dates to start off... Opening day first half was cold 30 that night with some cold night before got them little ducks moving earlier so that didn't help for the early season. Most of my wood ducks spots they were gone. Thanks new York !!!!
The 2nd half well I'm in a mix about it . If the weather is cold I can do it all and if it warms up and rain ... I can chase mallards. Just have to hope some are still around in good numbers. Most of the mallard migration and other puddle ducks happen mid November when the season is closed.

They should have left the dates alone and messed with the limits first. Back at it tomorrow!
